NetherlandsI didn’t like the plastic cups that they used around the pool area (however I do understand it for safety reasons but the types of glasses can be swapped for something more to match the vibe of the hotel) I was put off by the fact that when you have a drink (or whatever) around the hotel. They add 10%tipps . No choice. Of course you want to tip but I didn’t like it felt like I didn’t have a choice. However. When we checked out we still had the choice to cross out all the standard added tips. I would say it would have been helpful to know this upfront. Sounds petty but it’s not about the money but it’s about having the choice
Staff is super friendly. They made us feel very welcome and organised extras for our honeymoon. So welcoming and special. The pools are great. They have different types of beds next to the pools with plenty of parasols for the sun. Love the fact you could either chill next to the pool or next to the beach. The breakfast buffet is totally worth it. The variety is amazing. From all breakfast buffets I’ve tried I would totally recommend this one (I usually skip it cause I don’t like the buffets)

IrelandWe had a bit of a run-in with a wee Lizard who was trying his best to come inside. We managed to get him out of the sliding door frame eventually, but just for people on the lower floors to be warned that the little guys are fast and will try to venture in!
The staff were so friendly. Our room was so comfortable we slept soundly even with being on the first floor by the road. The breakfast buffet was a favourite part, as there was so much to choose from. We also enjoyed the themed dinners. It's a great way to experience the different cuisines. Alambique was also an absolute delight. We had to have room service a few times, as we unfortunately, got very sunburned but the staff were so friendly and chatty which made us feel a bit better! (Highly recommend the Thai Beef with rice and avocado) The hotel is pleasantly situated close to the marina and shops. The views were stunning from the hotel and on the way from Funchal. This is the perfect hotel to take a break from electronics and completely relax. There are so many things to do, that we didn't even get the time to do everything that we had wanted. We are really glad we chose here for a relaxed retreat-style holiday. Thank you to all the staff.

IsraelA luxury hotel with a lot of style, unique design, and a winning location. We took a room with a side view of the ocean and the spectacular nature that surrounds the hotel. The staff was very kind and met our every need. The room was huge and very luxurious. On my birthday, the staff spoiled us with champagne and all kinds of other surprises in the room. The rooftop pool is breathtaking and fun to spend time there relaxing and enjoying the sun. There is parking for guests and restaurants and bars throughout the hotel. Thank you

IsraelIt was nice but for the money we paid we expected more! No free parking , breakfast area is crowded and you have to find yourself a table, staff is not so welcoming, lot of them don’t know English. The pool was not ready on time. Few “small” things that do the difference.
Overall it was good but as we started out Madeira trip at Savoy palace, we had high expectation. The savoy palace has much higher standards, and it cost only 10% more.

United KingdomThe interior of the hotel is dark which and even the bedrooms are dark part of the design but can be a bit oppressive. Premium lounge good for breakfast but afternoon food an odd time at 16.30 and drinks finish far too early at 19.30. Need to book restaurants in advance but cannot choose table whi h is difficult as my husband has limited mobility buffet restaurant very average with poor drinks service as most servers cannot take orders. Pool area understaffed
The hotel was very comfortable with good restaurant choices. The premium lounge was especially good for breakfast with lovely views over the ocean. Staff excellent. Pools good lots of space and very comfortable sunbeds We had a suite with splash pool very spacious with 2 balconies. Room bar always well stocked. Service generally very good
