Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThe only slight complaint is that the shower is a little small but that is outweighed by everything else that the place has to offer.
The apartment is perfectly located and quite spacious with views of the river and bridge. The staff were great at communicating via WhatsApp and Inês personally helped me to get settled in.

AustraliaWe had a car to park do so on the street level. We walked down 250 steps which was hard with luggage. Parking on the street right out front is easier and there is parking further up the street away from the centre.
The location was sensationally. The Ponte was right at the front door.

SpainStaff is very friendly, I had some issues with my booking prior my stay and they assist you with anything you might need. Check in is very easy, JP was great. For us the location was perfect and away from the noise of the construction work in the city (at the moment, because of the new metro). The apartment was cute and comfy, the view was stunning. Me and my mother both enjoyed the stay. Thank you!

United KingdomNo ironing facility as stated on Booking.com description. A little noisy outside due to the bar, and door blocked by people and chairs, but it closed early so didn't affect our sleep.
Excellent location. Right next door to elevator to town. Lovely little apartment. Clean and comfy. Checked in at 1am and they accommodated that. Staff very helpful. Gave all instructions via Whatsapp which was helpful.

United StatesBathroom was a little tight, especially the shower. Given the price, they could have provided enough coffee pods for our whole stay.
Proximity to the river and easy access to most of the city attractions.

United KingdomEven we reserved a property on ground floor, we still required to go up two long stairs with our luggage for approaching the property It was too difficult for us, three senior ladies, unexpectedly.
The staff were very nice and kept a good and prompt communication before we checked in because we were late due to the flight delay. When we arrived nearby but could not locate the property, the staff (no sure the handsome guy's name) came to meet us and took all our three luggage for us in going up the stairs to get into the property. He was super nice to help us to accommodate and was patient to answer all our questions. Great thanks!

United KingdomHad a lovely stay at Riberia Cinema Apartments this April, the apartment I found to be spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped and the staff where very helpful and friendly for example when I was struggling to work out how the safe worked within 10 minutes of asking for help, a member of staff came to help fix the problem. The location for me was ideal, next to the river Douro and famous Ponte de Luis Bridge which you have a lovely view of from your living room window and plenty of choice restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Overall a perfect choice for you stay in beautiful Porto and hope to stay again sometime in the next few years.

IndiaNothing to dislike about the apartment. Just that direct accessibility is a bit tricky on public transport. Uber/Bolt from and to airport is better - specially for elderly and heavy luggage.
LOCATION ! The Duoro flows next to your window. Wake up and you look up to the Igreja do Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar & Ponte Luis Bridge. Sunrise from window. Excellent facilities.

ChinaThe entrance was not obvious and took me some time to find. Also, it would be nice if there were more bowls in the room.
The location is really super convenient. My family is very satisfied. The facilities in the room are also relatively complete and can meet our needs.

NetherlandsQuite noisy as a lot of people pass the street (stairs) all the time (except late at night), the roar of the funicular and the rumble of the metro on the bridge. For us not a problem. You need to park your car in the parking garage somewhere else.
Really fantastic location, directly under the iconic Dom Luiz bridge. Funicular practically next door. Most Porto attractions within walking distance (older people need to use the elevator (funicular) first). Amazing view from the living room. Quite roomy with a rather large kitchen.

CanadaI didn’t realize it was close to the bottom of the stairs the street is on, so it was a bit of a walk up to the city.
Great view of the river from the apartment, easy to check in, very close to the Camino. A good place to stay for a couple of nights while relaxing in Porto.

CanadaIf you are a light sleeper, this isn’t for you. The sounds of revving motorcycles and cars and pedestrian traffic continues on until midnight. If you have an issue walking, this is not for you. Google maps access to the apartment includes many many many stairs - not comfortable for weak knees or integrity of suitcase wheels. And the alternative non-stair access depends on a very unreliable bus route. Buses in Porto can be more than 45 min late and if full, they understandably do not stop.
The views were stunning. The location was fabulous. The apartment’s key areas - kitchen and bathroom- are clean and virtually new
