The place is a little worn out. Its located close to city centre but far from the river and other touristy places. Public transport wasnt that great but it was probably because we visited during holidays

The 80 something owner was kind and helpful. He made a lot of efforts to make sure we were comfortable

hard to reach the hotel by phone. it was noisy - there is no soundproofing as there is a gap under the door, which means we heard the comings and goings of people/tv noises etc all the time.

The staff didn’t speak english but it was possible to communicate and understand through signs. The room could be a bit cleaner, found 2 hair strands (bedroom and bathroom). The room had the smell of an old building

Use of A/C was limited. Was lots of noises from reception throughout the day and evening. Overcharged city tax as they charged per day rather than per night.

No elevator. Uncomfortable mattress. No sound isolation, one can hear everything happening around. This gets especially annoying when guests check-in at night or the staff is watching TV.

Well located with convenient transport to the ciry center. Very nice staff, though they only speak Portuguese.

The room felt very damp, there wasnt any visible moisture but it felt really humid.

I booked a double bed room with private bathroom for two people. For the price of 38€ per night it was very good. I went there with very low expectations but after seeing the room it was much better than i hoped for. The room was tiny but since we only came to sleep in the night that didnt bother us. THe washroom was very clean but again very tiny (although manageble). There was hot water, soap and toilet ppr in the washroom. A fridge, closet and AC were provided in the room. The AC worked wonderfully which was so great considering how hot it was in Porto. The building was old but i thinks thats normal in portugal, and the bed was a bit sqeeky. All in all a very good stay. Would definelty recommend for 1-2 nights.

I had emailed and received a reply about dropping my bag off before check in. I received a reply saying this was fine. But when I arrived in the morning. Initially nobody answered. Eventually they did but wouldn't let me speak and wouldn't open the door. When I did check in the younger man explained that check in was 3pm and nobody would've been here. That is my only grip.

I stayed here three times over my 10 days in Portugal as I was travelling up and down the country. The place was clean, staff friendly. Especially the older gentleman, who spoke very little English (Much better than my awful Portuguese) who was very friendly and helpful. The other man (late 30s?!) was excellent as well. Both gave lots of helpful information about supermarkets, restaurants etc.

The room was exposed to sun and the curtains didn’t covered the windows well, so in the morning was a bit hot and sunny.

I can't think of anything that could have been better. The room was always to our satisfaction.

The reception we received whenever we would return from a full day out was always warm and welcoming. The room was always clean with fresh towels. It was within walking distance to the historic centre of Porto.

The bathroom is pretty small. There is just the space to move around. There was no desk or chair to place a Pc or something else. However, there was a relatively big wardrobe.

I found both the room and hotel very clean. The owner is super friendly and some nice bars and restaurants are nearby. The position is a bit far from the center, but you are there in 20/25 minutes of walking. Also, there are a bus stop nearby and a small park and supermarket.

Small room and bed, high pillows, the room had a funny smell (maybe it had been renovated recently). A bit far from the center (10 minutes with bus or metro station, which is 10 minutes far from the hotel).

Super clean and very calm, kind staff. Excellent suggestions about eating in the neighborhood. Good choice if you plan to be out all day.
