How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bed is hard.
We were 2 nights,and we really liked the location and breakfast. People were great,and it was really clean. I like that. We would come back some day :)

No pool or outside terrace but easy access to beach and promenade
Great central location. Close to beach and restaurants . Nice breakfast with good choice for a continental menu. Lovely staff. Comfortable good size rooms

No balcony - felt a bit claustrophobic Not enough plug sockets for modern life - phones, watch chargers, hair dryer (need my own) - could put an extension in there for some extra sockets. Although we did not spend that much time in the room, the TV is really high up in the wall and hard to adjust, with only one English Channel - in that after beach hour it would have been nice to watch something. The furnishings/curtains etc look a bit old and dated and could with some replacements

The sound the key cards make was surprisingly loud, I could clearly hear other guests opening their doors from my room during the night. Maybe the volume could be turned down a bit. The bed creaked quite a bit with movement.
The hotel is well-located and the staff was super nice and helpful. The room had a huge balcony with amazing views of the beach. It was a comfortable stay overall.

The bathroom door didn’t shut properly.
The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room was clean and tidy. The location was perfect, both near the beach and the main streets. Hassane on reception was brilliant, kind and helped us with info on public transport and late check out. The lady on breakfast duty kept all items topped up and tables clear and clean.

The room initially had a smell (suspect from air conditioner) but the staff provided air freshener. Hotel management must resolve this.
Room 201- spacious and very clean and neat. Reception professional and friendly. Excellent location wrt Caparico beach and shops. Very nice breakfast with many options of fruit, etc.

Great value for money! Staff, location, cleanliness, breakfast all excellent. For me the bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable but otherwise Real Caparica is amazing.

Kettle and tea / coffee not available in the room. Room with 2 single beds leaves little room for any other comforts. Parking is not easy in the centre of town.

We had an excellent experience during our trip, thanks to the extremely helpful staff, good breakfasts, and wonderful location. The hotel offered great value for the price, situated in a charming neighborhood that enhanced our stay. The room was quite suitable for two people—clean, cozy, and comfortable—providing everything we needed for a successful trip.

Bedroom and bathroom are a bit dated
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast with a lot of choice. Small but clean room. Great location, very close to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets and easily reachable by public transportation.

The shower could be cleaned a bit more to remove black spots. The bed sheets also had different spots and because they are white it was pretty much visible. But these are minor flaws, apart from that, everything was fine.
It was a nice hotel for my one night stay, in a bit retro style. The room was nice, had a tv, air condition and a small fridge. The location was perfect, i could see the ocean from one of my windows and it is located almost in the pedestrian zone with just a few minutes walk to the beach. The breakfast was very good and varied. Guilherme the receptionist is a great great guy willing to help anytime.
