We didn’t like the foul smell in the toilet and room. The screen door is broken so we couldn’t leave the door open for some fresh air. There is no double lock from inside and in the morning someone opened the door although we had the “DO NOT DISTURB” sign.

Breakfast location was good. Overlooking view of the airport and see. We arrived late and self check-in was smooth. Due to late arrival, the staff was kind enough to wait for me to have breakfast before they close the kitchen.

you could feel the smell of cigarettes in the room. some of the other guests from the space were especially rude, trying to enter in every room on the floor around midnight.

We were eaten alive by mosquitoes during our very short time in the room, would recommend bringing bug spray or a plug-in.

Great location for an early next-day flight as only a short drive to the airport. Stunning view from the balcony too, featuring the Sao Lourenco trail in the distance.

We take it for one night as the closet hotel to the airport. Unfortunately, the way take more than 30 min to them and more part of the road you will climb up, We booked it for one night as it was the closest hotel to the airport. Unfortunately, the trip took over 30 minutes, and most of the way involves going uphill. Be cautious — Google Maps may provide inaccurate navigation.

I was quite scared after seeing the reviews but honestly i was really pleased to see the room. It was nice and comfortable, my room had a great balcony with sea view and also view on the airport landing strip which I thought was cool. The only two things that bothered me are that the plug doesn't work with light turned off which is impractical to charge your phone when sleeping and they were really loud at 9am working in the building with drills etc so impossible to sleep after that. Overall great for the price

While clean & and comfortable, Al Moniz had a strong & very strange smell throughout all areas, which was more than a little off-putting & had permeated all linens in the room. Also, there were blankets, no duvets & cheap foam chip filled pillows. There is no lift between floors, as the hotel is built into the hillside this is a disadvantage as the stairs are steep for transporting luggage. It is handy for the airport, being just 5 minutes away. & taxis are cheap. No breakfast option is.offered.

On the property add, it's mentioned that it's located 1km away from the airport, which is actually 1km as the crow flies. We walked from the airport and it's actually about 3.5km, all uphill.

The accommodation is close to the airport, which is usefull in case of late arrival or early departure. Nice room, clean.

Too far to walk from Airport, it took us one hour to walk all the way down hill to the airport. There were a lot of mosquitoes and wife got bitten a lot.

Mosquito net only on the window in the room, we left the bathroom window open one night and several mosquitoes flew in during the night. Sometimes weaker hot water pressure (probably shared plumbing with other rooms). But for the price of the accommodation these are very minor discomforts.

Clean and cozy room and bathroom. Clean and dry towels every day (which was great because of the high humidity overnight the wet towels couldn't dry - THANKS!). Well cooling small fridge, fan, hairdryer, TV included in the room. Comfortable bed. Parking right in front of the building. Super fast online check-in/out (only two messages via WhatsApp and handover building and room access code). Close to the airport (within walking distance). But the noise of landing/departure planes in the room not hearable.

Not a lot of parking space, and people with bad parking skills made it difficult for us to fit our small car and get our luggage out. No elevator. Small, uncomfortable bed. No AC. Dated interior made it feel a little dusty.

Close to the airport, we arrived around 2AM but we had received check in instructions beforehand so we were able to get into our room easily. Nice balcony

The room was uncomfortably hot, and there were no windows I could leave open during the night for ventilation. It was also disappointing to find there was no mini-fridge in the room.

The location is excellent, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. Had no issues at all during my visit – highly recommend!

The smell when you enter the hotel is unpleasant.

I liked accessibility, car park, pin-code entry, the received directions for the rooms and the fact the rooms were cleaned every day.
