    Nothing. This hotel was great.

Although a little out of town, this hotel more than suited our needs. Although a little dated, it featured all the things I find important in a hotel. Check in was seamless, and all the staff were fantastic. The room was spacious, and the window blinds did a great job of keeping out the early morning daylight. The air-con worked perfectly, and the room featured a bath as well as a shower, which my girlfriend took advantage of. The breakfast was plentiful, and one of the best buffet breakfasts I've had in a long time. The swimming pool was immaculately presented, and I must make special mention of the young man who manned the poolside bar for his wonderful nature, and attentiveness. A real asset to the hotel.

There was a funny smell in the hallways, the bathroom was very basic, and the quality of the shampoo and shower gel was poor. But for this price, it’s acceptable.

Peso da Régua is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful views of the Douro River, surrounded by vineyards and a wonderful climate. The hotel is currently under renovation — only one of the three buildings was operating at the end of May. The pool wasn’t open yet, but it was being cleaned, so it will likely be ready in June. Rooms are small, but the mattresses are good, and there’s a fridge in the room.

It was clean, comfortable and exceptionally well priced. The location is a bit outside but it offers the chance to take in the Duoro by walking along the cute promenade. We enjoyed those. Breakfast was also nice and had an ok variety for the price. Overall happy with the choice, since we only used it as a quick stop. If you stay for longer, having a car would be advised.

The only minus, if anything, is that the corridors are narrow and only one elevator that was very busy in the morning. A pity swimming pool was not open because weather was not good. Triple rooms could easily allocate 3 adults.

Perfect location when participating the Douro granfondo cycling event. It’s luxury not to worry about the car and be able to go by bike to the start line. We were also allowed to take the bikes into the room which is amazing. A great bonus was that we could shower in a shared room after the event. Good breakfast too! Definitely great. We’ll come back.

Due to renovation the pool area is closed and large maintenance activities are on going. Not recommended at the moment…

Breakfast buffet is good, free parking and close to the Douro river.

The rooms were noisy and in the hotel bar there was just drinks with gas for children.

The staff was very professional and the breakfast has a decent variety. I found the beds very comfortable. Free parking is a big plus. If you are in the Douro Valley and just need a room to sleep, I recommend this hotel.

The soundproofing could be improved, and there were no eggs available at breakfast in any form.

The price was very reasonable, and the location is great — just a short walk from the riverside. The rooms are spacious, although the toilet room in ours felt a bit tight.
