Everything was great: the remote location, the rooms, the breakfast, and most of all the two ladies who welcomed us and were there throughout our 3-day stay - you made our stay a million times more pleasant than we could ever expect! Thank you for everything !

Didn't find the mattress very comfortable. Standard rooms are cheaply furnished and fairly small, but you do get enough storage space for your things

The fact it had no meals other than breakfast and no fridge in the room - made it a little difficult with babies and it being remote.

Staff didn’t speak English. There is no reception, you have to call them to meet you at the entrance when you arrive. The bed was too firm. The pool wasn’t clean.

There was only one real issue for us - the bed/mattress was really hard and uncomfortable! We did mention it to the lady who came to do the breakfasts, but I got the impression that there wasn't much she could do about it (maybe all the mattresses were the same??) We couldn't get the TV to work but it wasn't a biggie (I think it had recently had a new satellite box that hadn't been set up).

We were the only guests during our stay and had the run of the place! A really nice, friendly lady came in the mornings to sort out the buffet breakfast (which had a great choice) and do a few bits and pieces, but after that we were on our own. There was a gorgeous fireplace with lots of wood which we could use if we wanted to. We 'self-catered' for our evening meals; fortunately there is a Lidl store on the outskirts of the nearby village which came in very handy! Naturally being December the pool was closed, although during the warmer months we felt the Refugio would be ideal for a large family group or a couple of families to stay at, especially with its quiet location and having the pool. Gorgeous sunsets and great for star gazing! Handy too for exploring the nearby coastline.

Incredible setting, relaxing and quiet with all the amenities if you just want to stay reclusive and enjoy nice food surrounded by nature. The staff was super friendly and available for any questions or suggestions of places to eat and beaches to visit.

Loved everything but just found that the mattress was a bit to firme for me.

The Staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were just perfect with the fan lamp at the ceiling to cool you down when feeling hot. Loved the pool. Great selection for breakfast. If you want to relax, this is the best place to be.

Higly recommend this place! Its so peaceful and serene! We stayed in very spacious room, next door to the pool which was just perfect! The breakfast was very good and everyone was very nice, letting us enjoy the stay in privacy. We would love to come back!

We mainly booked this place because of the swimming pool. Before getting there they called to warn us that the pool was under treatment and hopefully we would be able to use it on the next day. We stayed 3 nights and leaved with the pool as green as we saw it on the first day. I hope they had offered a compensation for this. Such a pity. On the other hand the rooms were a bit small and the mattress super hard. As a thin person I found this very uncomfortable, although I know this is super personal.

The room was very small but it was clear on the description. The main drawback is that the room insulation is absolutely non existing, you hear absolutely everything that is happening around, including the next room guy snoring. That point is major because you totally depend on the circumstances but your stay can be totally ruined if there are people a little bit loud in the premises or worse in the room next to yours. Going to a localization in the middle of nowhere and not getting the calm is a problem. The bedding is ok, a bit on the firm side for my taste. Important to note for couple, the bed is a standard double, which means 140cm. The pool should have an automatic cleaning system or be cleaned early morning so there are less insects in the water. The breakfast is very simple

The toilet wouldn't flush and then the staff just shrugged and said they couldn't bring in a plumber when we were there and suggested we use a bucket to flush. We left after the first night and they refused to refund us even though they could not provide an alternative room. Worst service I've had in my life.

the room was too small, the bed was a very small double bed and above all there wasn’t a window in the room. there was only a door window but because the room was on the ground floor we couldn’t leave it open during the night. Too expensive for what it offers.
