Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkMost of all, being surrounded by nature, with the ocean's sound in the background and with animals roaming freely around the Quinta (our eight-month baby loved watching and listening to the cocks and the geese). Vítor is a generous host, he gave us a lot of good tips about what to do in the region and did everything to help us with the baby, including letting us use his kitchen to prepare some food. The Quinta is charming, the room is spacious and the beds comfy. We liked that sustainability is taken seriously and nature treated with respect.

United StatesVitor provided a hearty and tasty breakfast, and our animal companions made it all the more enjoyable. Vitor also shared a ton of helpful tips about the town, the region, the local cuisine, and even the local flora and fauna. If we hadn't been so busy seeing everything nearby, we would have chatted with him more. His home had so much fascinating decor. On top of that, Vitor's property is beautiful; we thoroughly enjoyed the nearby hike to the coast.

The host is a special character but friendly and helpful. The Quinta is eco oriented with solar energy, solar warm water and sewage processing for manuring garden plants. The breakfast is rich and diversified.

RussiaWe loved this place! We felt like home. Atmosphere was warm and hospitable. It was an amazing experience to live with all these cats, dogs, geese and hens, to get up to the rooster's crow. Vitor lit the fireplace every evening, cooked fantastic breakfast, gave us useful recommendations. Once we walked to the ocean, and the route took just 20 minutes by feet through the forest to see amazing sunset. Our 2 year old son didn’t want to leave, he was crying. All of us was sad, when leaving, because we spent happy days at Vitor’s house. We are grateful to Vitor for this unforgettable vacations.

United StatesNo complaints. If you don't like animals you won't like it - lots of cats, dogs, chickens.
Great location, off the beaten track, quiet, and a short walk through the woods to a beautiful cliff-walk. Great breakfast, down to earth friendly host, calm farm life. Short drive to a nice restaurant. We would happily have stayed for weeks!

FinlandRelatively far from the villages, i.e. restaurants are a long way away and you need a car ride.
Breakfast was included in the price and we were able to enjoy the farm's home-made omelettes and self-squeezed orange juice. Our amazing host Vitor conjured up unforgettable fine-dining dinners for us on two nights. He really invested in his guests and took the initiative to show us around beautiful beach resorts and since we didn't have our own car, he also took us shopping at Rogil. We talked a lot about Portuguese history and food culture. Thanks a lot, Vitor! Pero Vicente is a little far from everything, but here you can really rest and enjoy nature, as well as perfect service. It was also nice to observe the farm animals. We wish you all the best!

SpainEverything was perfect, but please keep in mind that it`s not a hotel, but a private house where you can stay in one of the rooms. It`s not a downside, it gives you an opportunity to network with the owner and other guests.
If you`re looking for a secluded location surrounded by nature this is the place for you. The location is an agritouristic place where you have an opportunity to stay in a 100-year-old traditionally-built house. The owner is very helpful and provides extensive information about the area, history, points of interests, maps, cuisine and everything that might interest you. The local breakfast is also a big highlight of the place. The house is pet-friendly, but please be aware that there are other, local animals there.

Victor was charming with a quirky sense of humor. He was full information and made us a “fabulous” dinner and breakfast. He is into organic bio diversity. The room was clean and furnished with lovely furniture. Very nice walk to the cliffs and beach nearby. My friend and I will always remember Victor! He is truly one of a kind!

LithuaniaVery interesting expierence. The host is very special man, having answers to different questions, gaving good recommendations about travelling Rota Vincentina. Very tasty breakfast in the yard surrounded by pets. From the house a 15 minutes trail takes you to the ocean. It's a good place to stay when splitting the Fisherman's road section from Odeceixe (with half a day staying at Odeceixe beach) and Aljezur in two days.

United StatesOne of its blessings was that it was off the beaten path. However, that meant we had to take a taxi to get there from our days-long hike on the Fishermen's Trail. It turned out to be well worth the ride, but I had miscalculated the distance from the path.
Breakfast was superb. Host was gracious, funny and entirely welcoming. Loved talking with him.
