This hotel exceeded our expectations. A quiet oasis....Easy parking, friendly staff, and beautifully kept grounds. You will need a car, although once here it's hard to leave. The restaurant has a good menu for food and drinks. The pool is well looked after and has plenty of seating around it.

I wished I could have stayed longer.

You couldn't wish for a better location. Plenty of wild life birds,ducks,turtles,fish. Two big ponds and plenty of ground to walk around. Close to city centre.

Great breakfast esp scrambled eggs. Good snack options for lunch. Quiet location. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. Nice grounds to walk around.

This is the 3rd year in a row I have stayed at Quinta dos Poetas. I have been highly impressed each time I have stayed here. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of choice. The hotel is in a lovely rural setting and is very peaceful and tranquil, but at the same time is only a 10-20 min drive away from Olhao and Faro and access to local beaches. Each time I have visited I have found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I cannot think of anything that was unpleasant - perhaps a lift in the main hotel building for elderly or disabled guests would make a difference for guests with mobility issues. Although the hotel has only one floor it can pose a challenge for these guests to access their rooms in the main hotel building.

The hotel has a rural setting located far away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts, offering a natural and tranquil environment for guests who wish to get away for a peaceful short stay. The buffet continental breakfast was varied and catered for all tastes. The hotel allowed guests to have breakfast outdoors by the pool and that was really nice.

The games room and the gym are not that accessible and you don't get the impression that they want you to use them. There is no bar where you can casually sit and chat with fellow travellers.

The pool is great. The gardens are lovely and quiet. The staff are very helpful.

Restaurant menu very expensive for the quality of food, very slow service and we were the only guest in the dining room. Breakfast was ok and reasonably priced. The apartment need more furniture, one sofa alone is not sufficient

Felt the restaurant staff was deliberately misleading. When asked about charges they said it was covered by their meal plan and then they added an extra charge. My husband asked for 1 scoop of ice cream and they brought 3. Then charged him for it.

Very tranquil, in beautiful surroundings with lovely pool. Breakfast included in room rate was super and being able to sit beside the pool having breakfast was a real treat in the morning sun. Wish I was back there now!

My checking out was not great. I had trouble with my international credit cards - even though I had used them the night before. I was made to feel uncomfortable about this.

The setting around the hotel was really lovely. Nice big pool and a lovely patio. What I loved was the hotel was out in the country. Beautiful scenery along the way. The breakfast was good. We also had a light lunch which was tasty.

The pool sunbeds are worn out, uncomfortable and need replacing. A safety issue we have mentioned before is the need for a non slip bath mat for use whilst showering to prevent an avoidable fall. The food in the restaurant has noticeably deteriorated since our last visit. Chicken dishes were tough and unpleasant and the sirloin steak was inedible. We did complain about this to the waiter but did not get any feedback. This is potentially a major issue as the hotel is quite isolated and guests rely on having decent food in the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is located in a rural area north of Olhao with beautiful grounds and gardens. The staff are friendly and helpful and the entire ambience of the place is peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are large and well equipped.

We could hear the music coming from the lobby in in our room in the evenings.

Beautiful rural location. I could hear the birds chirping. Surrounded by nature, perfect place to relax. Our room was simple, spacious with a balcony view to the pool and garden, even a little bit of the sea. Staff was very kind and helpful. Would come back again definitely.

There is no downside to this accommodation!

The apartments were excellent and cleaned every day with fresh towels, bath mats and waste bags. Beds were also made every day! This was an unexpected bonus! The surrounding area within the hotel grounds was top class and our apartment overlooked the croquet lawn, with the local ducks feeding by the waters edge. The staff, including the owner went out of their way to help in any way that they could. The food in the hotel was excellent, along with a good selection of local wines and beers. In my opinion this hotel is the "Jewel in the Crown" in the eastern Algarve, an area that we have visited for the last 25 years, but not at this venue. There is no doubt that we will return this year.
