We loved our short stay at Quinta de Sao Francisco. The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming and assisted with our luggage. The breakfast was very nice and served in a beautiful room with a view out into acourtyard. We would definately stay again and recommend this very interesting accommodation to friends.

The place is on the outskirts of Viseu and a bit tricky to find it the first time. There are no signs on the road.

The garden is phenomenal and the rooms are really spacious with excellent beds. The breakfast was perfect in a beautiful setting

Really beautiful place, well balanced between new and old. Room was great, the balcony is a great addition to the room.

No complaints. It’s a little bit tricky to navigate there with Google Maps at first. Just keep following the main roads and avoid the small alleys.

Nothing I didn't like.

We had a fantastic time at Quinta de Sao Francisco Houses. The quinta is very tranquil, full of history, yet modern and exudes luxury. Beautiful and very clean room, with crisp white sheets. Lots of beautiful green space for our dog. Meander into the lush gardens into the boutique vineyard and have an orange or two on your way back for a swim! The generous breakfast is excellent. Only a few kilometers away from the city, so it's a very handy location. Great staff, super friendly and attentive yet very professional. Can go on but simply put, we absolutely loved our stay that we even extended. We highly recommend this property any day.

There is nothing to dislike.

The Quinta de São Francisco was undoubtedly one of the best recommendations I have ever set foot in. It is set just outside Viseu in a peaceful and quiet area. The property itself has been impeccably renovated by the owners with a lot of love and attention to detail and the rooms are decorated very tastefully. When we arrived, the owners greeted us warmheartedly, and instantly made us feel very welcome. It is difficult to describe the beauty of the surrounding garden, vineyards and landscape. You have to see for yourself.  Thanks again to the owners and the staff for a wonderful stay!

I don’t have enough words of praise from our welcome to Bruno’s personal wine tasting and owner Sonia’s genuine warmth. It is nothing short of magnificent … just go I say. This was a really special place, beautifully and lovingly restored with an old world charm. Beautiful outside spaces to sit, read eat & enjoy the views over vineyards to the snow capped mountains in the distance. The breakfasts were unreal.. generous and great variety. The buildings were beautifully decorated. Beds so comfy, with georgous bed linen & the showers were brilliant! On top of that Sophie the owner was such a lovely person, could not be more welcoming & despite being busy always took time to chat & advise about where to go. We had a great day at nearby thermal spa and the city of Viseu is full of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

This property is absolutely exquisite and a true gem. Not only has it been lovingly restored to its historical roots but they have beautifully blended modern and rustic decor. This property offers many places to relax, whether it is just outside your room, in an open courtyard, an indoor reception area, the well manicured gardens, or an upper patio overlooking the vineyard. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and well decorated a certainly beyond and expectations we had. The food and wine are excellent as are the hosts’ company should you be blessed to spend time with them. You will have the opportunity to learn more about wine (if interested) of which they are quite passionate. Their wine is of exceptional quality and we look forward to finding it upon our return home.

The property was clean, very well equipped, the interior decoration was very tasteful with very good quality finishes, the exterior was a huge and beautiful farmhouse. D. Sonia and Mr. Zé Luis made us feel at home so much for their care for us. I loved it and recommend it.
