As with many older properties bathroom area was clean but at times had funny smell.

Lovely view of the duoro valley and good location particularly if you have a car. The staff on site were friendly and helpful - even helping us with washing & leaving tarts and bread for us in the morning. Roomy for 4.

It’s a long way uphill from town

We loved everything about this place. Amazing spot, accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed, was so nice to relax by the pool, and the host was incredibly thoughtful and helpful. Would definitely stay again. There is a path that makes it a short (10-15ish mins) into town. If you like walking, would recommend heading up to Miraduoro casal de loivos.. 40mins from the accomodation.. I went at sunrise and the views were spectacular

Great location, amazing views to the Douro Valley. The owners were absolutely fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Fresh bread and Pastel de natas every morning - nothing was too much for them. Would definitely come back and highly recommend. .

We didn't have a car so we walked down the hill to the town which was a 10-minute walk. However, took a cab back due to the steep hill returning .

The swimming pool was a bit tired. Needed cleaning but was I. Process of being g done. 2 nd day it was cleaned. Was a free standing pool with a step ladder to get into, would be better an inbuilt. Easier access.

A larger refrigerator would have been nice.

The views were phenomenal! We had home #1 on the lower level which was a large 1 BR home with 3 small patio areas. It was nice to have a pool (above ground) and loungers with umbrellas especially during the summer heat. We had a problem finding the home due to our poor navigation but Rodrigo was available To help us find our way.

Not all the sliding doors could be locked. Has to closed the outer doors to secure the place. I recommend fixing these latches.

What a beautiful view from this spacious property. Unit 3 is massive with 3 rooms, 3 bathrooms, and gigantic patio that sort of feels like your own. There is a pool, a game room, and while we didn’t meet the owners very directly they left some tasty bread and pastel de nata for us on our first morning. Check in was super easy. The beds are comfortable. It’s close to everything. The kitchen has everything you need. Having breakfast while looking at the pre-boat tour quietude of the Douro river is worth the price.

There was only a sheer curtain over the living room window so privacy was affected in that room. Other rooms were ok.

Stunning location with views over the Douro. The 1 bedroom apartment was very large and nicely decorated. Fresh bread and pastries delivered to our doorstep was a lovely touch.

Lovely views, fabulous deck and great to have access to a shared pool. Host Carlos didn’t speak a word of English but was most accommodating in every way providing us with requested fans to deal with the heat and also generously offering port cocktails around the pool. Lovely place to escape back to after a day exploring the Douro valley.

Put in the name Quinta da Galeira into google maps to get to the apartment. We put the address in and it took us up a one way street the wrong way and was 100metres short of the apartment. The boss had the patience of a saint and guided is there finally by phone!

Perfect apartment with large sitting room. Kitchen had all we needed to cook in. A quick walk down hill to Pinhao. A good steep walk uphill! Get a taxi which cost 7euro, it was worth it! Was lovely to get a patel de nata on arrival. While we sat in the sun in the evening enjoying the fabulous view our host gave us a delicious white port tonic to sip on.
