Wow, this place is amazing! Yes it is a 15 minute drive on a dead end road, but when you get there you will be amazed. Very friendly and helpful staff, they made us feel very welcome and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to stay in a relaxing environment. Thank you Rita for your hospitality and Maria (the cat) for the chats over breakfast.

Communication could be better, as we tried to contact the property via email before our stay without answers. Also during our stay, we asked whether we could get an earlier breakfast but could not get an answer on time. However, the owner was very welcoming.

The property is beautiful and well maintained, quite isolated so very quiet. You can do a nice 1.5km hike around the property vineyards. The multiple houses are very authentic. By car, in 15-20min you can reach Amarante and its restaurants / supermarkets.

We received the best service throughout our stay - our baskets for breakfast & delicious recommendations for meals & wineries to visit. The room was spacious & cozy. Lots of blankets & towels provided. Hair dryer. Good outlets.

There was no decaffeinated coffee offered , so perhaps that could be a change. The road to the house is a bit daunting, especially in the dark.

Breakfast room was lovely and there was plenty of choices.... No other meals served but there was a very nice wine that we could , and did, purchase. They have provided a very nice walking trail through their vineyard and if the weather had been better we would have made better use of the pool. The views are amazing.

There aren’t many negative points about the place, perhaps focusing a little bit more on having local produce at breakfast, which was probably my least favourite part. Supermarket cake, low quality cold meats, not the most appealing or flavourful food. Also, very poor lighting at night, the car parking was pitch black and made it difficult to walk around the place.

This place is ideal for some relaxing time listening to the nature and quietness that surrounds the location. The house was pleasant and comfortable and the rusticity of it made it even more beautiful.

It is a pretty remote location, up a very windy road. She serves a great breakfast, but to get dinner we needed to travel at least 5 kilometers down the windy road to a restaurant that turned out to be closed the night we arrived. We were able to order pizza for delivery, but for what we got it wasn’t really worth it. That’s my only negative about this beautiful property.

The place was beautiful, a wonderful place to get away fro it all. The breakfast she served was great. Walking through the vineyard was peaceful. I would love to return someday.

Nothing! Although it is a narrow, curvy road from Amarante- so buy a picnic in town, arrive before sunset and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.

This place was magical; tucked into the quiet countryside and surrounded by grape vines and forest. The host was friendly and willingly shared the story of the site. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was located in a charming building and was truly delicious.

Pool was very peaceful, the surrounding of the hotel was just green mountains, absolutely stunning and tranquil. The night sky was lit up. Gorgeous small getaway hotel that is guaranteed to relax you and reconnect with nature.

It is a little difficult to get to due to the narrow, winding roads in this part of Portugal. We did not venture out in the evening to the local town (Amarante) because we did not want to drive back in the dark.

This is an amazing place to stay in the countryside of Portugal. It is like being in a fairy tale while you are there. The grounds are quiet and charming with a pool on location. Breakfast is fresh and abundant, with a variety of foods for all taste buds. Hosts are on site and able to answer many questions and provide suggestions. Our cabin was spacious and clean with the expected amenities (towels, shampoo, etc). All around it was a wonderful, magical experience

- grass at the pool is very prickly with many spikes, you never can’t walk there without shoes - our room didn’t have microwave, so for eat something for the lunch or dinner we had to order delivery from Amarante (city near by) or go to restaurant (15min by car the nearest one) or eat something from the cans with cold salad. We weren’t hungry, but a little bit stressed at first days - we couldn’t use hotels WiFi: in the room and at the swimming pool too. Poor and not stable signal. We had our router from home and used it - no any hot food for the breakfast, but anyway it was good to have it because our room didn’t have any kitchen for cooking - if you are not so good driver, roads can be problematic, but as we noticed for ourselves: for the north it’s normal and everywhere - we wanted to come back in September, but rooms with the kitchen full booked already :)

- nature is amazing, hotel has private big area, with grape plantation - natures sounds and smells in the mornings - price and size of the room - till really good restaurant “O ministro” 15 minutes by car - cozy and beautiful sala for breakfast, every room has all staying the same table for the meal - everywhere was clean and are really cared about by owners - the fridge and the cattle in the room - hot water all time without any problems - area with swimming pool is so beautiful and pice fool - free and comfortable parking - around 20 minutes till Amarante (city with supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants and nice walks).

Exceptional staff. Very quiet location. Beautiful property. Pool area looked very inviting, but it was a bit chilly to use. Thoughtfully restored family farm with tasteful attention to detail. It's a little away from Amarante proper but an easy drive into town through the beautiful countryside.?
