Furniture and finishing touches are a bit tired. The quality of the food is subpar.

The location, views, the quality of the building and the spaces is outstanding. The ambiance and service of the restaurant and patios is unsurpassed.

The breakfast did not match the property value as it could be better. The evening meal was also sub par for a hotel of this price and feeling.

This hotel is all about the views. Spectacular does not even begin to describe them. The beds were comfortable and the whole hotel has the charm of a time in the past (in a good way) The pool was nice and quiet, a good place to relax in a hot afternoon.

Perfect

Iconic vista from a beautiful hotel We had such a special time here. The staff were perfect, of particular note were the senhor on the front desk, and Ricardo in the restaurant. They worked so hard and were always professional. The birthday cake and fizz I had were special treats and delicious. Thank you so much. We would love to return.

The room was a little tired and a lot smaller than we expected for a 'Superior Double' not even a space to put a laptop which had to be balanced on a wobbly small round table. The bathroom, marble tiled was large and out of proportion with the bedroom. Shower over bath.

The location and spectacular view from the very small balcony, The meals both breakfast and dinner were good. Plenty of outdoor car park spaces available. A short walk down to the Santa Luzia church and funicular.

There was nothing negative

The view was unbelievable, the food was so tasty and well presented. The breakfast was a total bonus, there was a huge selection, all fresh and a fantastic way to start the day. The staff were so friendly and very helpful

Wow what a view! It is amazing and the hotel is very beautiful. It has nice swimming poool outside, but it was too cold for us to use. The room was spacious. The breakfast is very good and many choices, well presented. The staff is friendly and flexible. Nice restaurant and bar with the stunning view. It is place to enjoy by just do nothing.

Very small criticism, the waiters were very good and very efficient but we felt we were rushed at dinner especially as there was no one else to take our tables - so staff need to balance efficiently with not rushing guest -

There was nothing we didn't like.

The hotel is in a fabulous location high above Viana do Castelo so the view is amazing. The road up to it is winding but we had a car so that was fine. We saw a few taxis come and go so presumably it is easy to organise transport (the funicular was closed for maintenance during our stay). The food in the restaurant was delicious so we ate there both nights and there was a very comfortable lounge with a bar, and a separate billiard room. The pool looked lovely but was too cold for a swim while we were there. There were plenty of options at breakfast and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely beautiful Pousada and incredible view! The food was amazing. We ate dinner at the Pousada and the buffet breakfast was included with our room price. We enjoyed cocktails from the bar on the patio. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with the bonus of free onsite parking. The room was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant which was good for a hotel and the breakfast choices were plentiful.
