Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Fantastic room with two balconies one over looking the square. Opted for shared bathrooms which were kept spotless at all times. Fantastic varied breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs, breads, croissant. Really great hotel.

CroatiaThe most incredible welcome from the receptionist, Juracy… could not have been better . But the whole experience of staying there was first rate.. spotlessly clean, fantastic breakfast .. and everything with so much care eg a big bottle of water in the room, a kitchen make hot drinks… great location just next to the metro and close to the famous tram 28. I will definitely go back if visit Lisbon again.

GermanyIt‘s outdated. Needs an update. But everything we needed was there so it was ok. Room was not so big for the three of us plus our luggages. No elevator and our room was on the 4th floor. I was always exhausted climbing up to our room. Breakfast was same every day but it was ok.
It was close to everything you need right in the city center. The view from the hotel balcony is great. We only spent our time in the hotel during the night because at daytime we were always out.

BrazilEverything was great, breakfast had many options, the orange juice could be freshly squeezed to make it even better.
Excellent hotel option in Lisbon, the room was really spacious with a beautiful view of the Praça da Figueira’s market. The location is very convenient, 2 min walk away from the subway station. Very clean. Good WiFi. Friendly staff.

Czech RepublicThe entrance could have been marked more clearly, with the next door restaurant/pub and deteriorating building facade which does not prominently show the accomodation, and closed/locked main door due to evening hour of our arrival, we had small challenge finding the venue ...
Great location directly in Lisabon city center (breakfast room faces Praça de Figueira), nice historical building with comfortable rooms, very good breakfast, friendly staff.

United StatesWe liked everything, but for some travelers, the following may be worth consideration: a few steep flights of stairs to reach reception and rooms, some noise in the hallways at night, which could disturb light sleepers.
We love this accommodation! To start with, the location is perfect: 5-15 minutes walking from commuter trains to Sintra and Cascais, 150 meters to Rossio metro station, buses steps outside the door, 10 minute walk to Alfama and miradouros. It’s a safe area with lots of energy, there are restaurants to suit every taste and budget with everything from bifanas and pasteis to Ramen or burgers. The rooms were clean and bright, and our triple room with private bathroom suite suited all of our needs. We loved our comfortable beds and the water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was tasty and nourishing with multiple options for our group which included a vegetarian and a person allergic to dairy. Finally, the staff receive top marks: they were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, they kept the place spotlessly clean, and they answered all of our questions patiently and provided information with a smile. They even offered us an early check-in simply because the room was already available when we arrived to drop off our bags. We would highly recommend this accommodation! If it’s in your budget, and you’re looking for the perfect spot from which to explore Lisbon, book here without delay.

ItalyThey don't provide keys to the main portal. It is usually open during the day and there is always someone at the reception desk at night, but unfortunately on our last night we had to wait for 10 minutes outside. I understand that the receptionist was busy with some guests so it's absolutely NOT her fault but it was not ideal

United KingdomGreat location, easy access to number of places. We traveled to Lisbon by bus and took metro, the stop was right by the hotel. The room was ready even we arrived early. Really nice breakfast which we also had packed on our last day when leaving early to the airport. The reception rang to check we are ready for the taxi, these might be a small things but they really matter. We will definitely be coming back.
