How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Spacious top floor room with nice view of the garden as advertised. Good facilities with complete kitchen and good air con. Close to Bolhao metro station and bars and restaurants.

The main issue was the noise: very squeaky hardwood floors, big constructions in the house next door.. quite difficult to get a late morning.
Our apartment was very clean, and well equipped. The location is great, easy reach from the center and main attraction while being in a more quiet neighborhood. The view on the back garden was super charming.

There was some construction going on outside, I assume that's temporary, didn't affect us too much since we were up and out early.
Great location, morning coffee, supermarket nearby. Beautiful space, loved the cotton sheets, great shower, nice little balcony, perfect little kitchen! Loved it!

Great location - just outside the busy tourist zone but still close to walk. Quiet attic room in quiet street with lovely garden view. Lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby

There were no elevator so we had to carry 3 bags to 3rd floor. Also inside the building there were bugs around even though apartment was clean.
Location was great. House was clean. Beds were comfy. Generally good for the price.

In my opinion, they should explain that the parking is not very easy to get into and out of for a big car and not so brave a driver as I am. There are parking garages nearby that could be used instead.
The location is the best in my opinion. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. There is a parking.

The building is old with wooden floorboards. We were disturbed by neighbours in the apartment above arriving at 12.30 am and then going out again and returning at 4.30am.
The apartment was very well equipped and extremely comfortable, and well located in the centre of town but with minimal road noise.

There was really nothing to dislike and we would recommend it highly.
It was spacious, very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked to prepare a good meal. I Anna checked us in; she was friendly, pleasant to deal with and gave helpful directions to grocery stores and public transport.

The kitchen wasn't perfectly clean. The sink is very very small and uncomfy to use. No Dishwasher. The garden table, which is a lovely extra,was very dirty.
Great locación, enough space for a family of 6, large round table for 6 to eat and hang, very nice garden, very kind staff

Very poor showers, hardly any flow and an extremely poor kitchen with a small double hob where it takes two hours to boil a pan of water!
Everything apart from the showers and the extremely basic kitchen.

Difficult to manoeuvre car in the garage.
Very pleasant Argentinian lady at Reception. Kind and helpful, with good command of English. She organised open-top bus tours and a river cruise for us.

The strong smell inside lower kitchen cabinets-I think it was the cleaning product that was used, for us it was very unpleasent and really bothered us.
Beautiful studio in a historical building with good beds, very soft towells, well equiped kitchen. Sleek modern kitchen and bathroom, combined with restored floor and window shutters. In a quiet street just a short walk to the center. Supermarket is about 3 min walk away. Check-in is around the corner, different adress.

The original staircase steps had wooden boards added which made the steps chunky and higher than standard.
the combination of a characterful old building but semi modernised interior. the French windows and the garden view with mature trees. the location was great too. Raphael couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming.
