The property can do with a fresh coat of paint & some maintenance on the outdoor furniture which isn't in the condition as pictured in the photos. The communal rooftop deck is however still a great place to hang out at for sunset hour. There is no aircon & it was hot but manageable as the walls are thick - just keep the shutters closed during the day time. None of this would deter me from staying again. Loved it.

Good value stay, friendly host who met us to hand over the key & show us around & does a great job. Centrally located. Nice little cafe bar (good coffee) downstairs from the property. Great rooftop deck with a few seating areas created where we enjoyed a sundowner & the fantastic views over the rooftops of Olhao. Beautiful sunsets. Thanks for the delicious bottle of wine that we were able to keep in the refrigerator in the communal indoor area. Nice communal space with some cups, saucers, cutlery for usage by guests although no cooking facilities. Useful for ready-made supermarket snacks/food. Also, very useful tourism information in the communal area as well as a folder in our room with ferry times to the islands etc. The room was spacious & comfortable. The shower & basin were in the bedroom (not closed off by a door), but the toilet was. A nice set up. Also a couch & cupboard in the room. Wineglasses provided!

The place was in a walkable distance from both the railway station and ferry port. Andreia was the sweetest attendant I have ever met in any hotel/guesthouse. The place was kept very clean and tidy. I would love to come back again.

I have no negative comments about the property, but I did find the lighting in the bathroom made it hard for shaving, and there is no other mirror.

I love everything about O Mirante. This was my 2nd stay in the same room with the 2 little balconies overlooking the street and museum. The room was bright and airy with lovely high ceilings.. It has a great shower. Andreia will meet you at the property, and she is a treasure, super nice, and super helpful. This property has a great location, central for everything and has a lovely roof terrace. It's a great place for solo travellers.

The guesthouse is a lovely building in a nice location close to restaurants, cafes & bars. The rooms are well kept and very clean and there is a great roof terrace for relaxing and enjoying the view of Olhão. Andreia is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble for her and she is very enthusiastic about her job.

The reference picture on booking.com is misleading as there isn't a dining area. Lots of stairs, which wasn't a problem for me but could be for others.

Navigating stairs with luggage was a little challenging but you only have to do it once. Water pressure in shower (top floor) was a little weak but did not detract from enjoyment.

Our room was on the top floor just off the magnificent terrace. We spent a lot of time on the terrace… drinking wine/coffee. The atmosphere was amazing. Andreia was a ray of sunshine! So helpful with a wonderful demeanour. The coffee area was well stocked and a refrigerator was available for use.

Andreia our host was excellent. Even though our flight was delayed and we did not get to the guesthouse until after midnight, Andreia was proactive in communicating with us and welcomed us on arrival.

Nothing that I could justify for what I paid 👨🏻‍🔧

Located in an historic building, former pharmacy, only a short walk from the seafront and its many shops and restaurants. My room at the top of the building was spacious with shower within the room and a separate toilet also within the room. It opened out onto a large terrace which although communal I rarely saw anyone else on it during my stay. A fridge for the use of guests along with tea and coffee facilities was located in a separate room within the building. This is not modern resort style accommodation but clean and comfortable at a great price in a great location. I even had a storks nest just across from me. Andreia welcomes everyone warmly and is always available to answer any questions or give advice…she’s a star ⭐️
