Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would be good to get some orientation about transport from.the hotel to the barro alto and commercial square areas. Bus routes and Metro routes and timetables etc. Appreciate its all online but this can be difficult to interpret . The hotel is great but a 45 minute walk to the more central areas of Lisbon .
Breakfast buffet was great and staff were all very friendly

United KingdomDepends what you want from the location but it is a 15 minute walk to the busier areas, very easy to walk down in the evenings but it would require getting a bolt back. These are cheap mind you - less than 10 euro.
We travelled to Lisbon as a city break for two friends and had a really great time overall. The hotel was a in a great location to everything, walking distance downhill. Lovely quiet area. Great staff, very accommodating. Breakfast was also great, plenty of options.

United KingdomCouldn't get a lounger due to towels on them with no people around
The room was very modern with a balcony and separate shower and WC. The breakfast was included and had an excellent choice and no matter what time you arrived at the food was always replenished. Food at the pool bar was also excellent with friendly waitress service

United StatesThings to be aware of (didn’t impact our stay): - The showers in rooms open out into the room itself, the bathroom is not separate. Tricky if sharing with someone you don’t want to be naked in front of! - The rooftop pool has about 6 lay flat beds and probably 10 deck chairs. These fill up practically by 9/930am in summer. Can be disappointing if you pick the hotel for the pool which we did - It’s located a taxi journey from central areas, but we didn’t mind as Ubers are very cheap
Very clean & modern hotel with good breakfast options, friendly staff and a beautiful rooftop pool. Location is good if you’re happy to be out of the bustle of the town. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location is next to the most beautiful avenue in Lisbon. Proximity to shine around the city with the yellow bus. Most importantly the staff were very nice and professional. I would like to mention Luclecia and Cristina in particular for their kindness and availability for all requests.

PortugalSome more maintenance and investment is needed to fix all the rooms, you can see things decaying from one stay to another. There is also little recognition for returning customers which at some point will just make me go to amother place.
I am a regular there (must have spent more than 50 nights in the last 3/4 years) and I still like to come to this hotel. Great design and location.

United KingdomThe breakfast overall had good variety, but the cooked breakfast was a bit basic.
The hotel was lovely. The staff were helpful and nice. The location is in downtown which is a good base to get to other locations via Uber. The room was good and the bed was really comfortable we had a pleasant stay.

United KingdomOur air con didn’t function in one of our connecting rooms, we were offered a switch after 2 nights but as we were only staying 5 we decided not to pack up two rooms. Lunch menu at the rooftop bar was very limited and expensive.
Great hotel, good facilities, friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms. Great breakfast. 12 min walk to the closest Metro but Ubers were 5€ to the centre.

PortugalLots of detail requiring maintenance: wardrobe doors hinges squeaking, wardrobe lights always ON, shower door misaligned, unable to close the bathroom door, some walls need repainting, wall switches too complicated, shower jets not fully operational, patch of damaged carpet by the lifts on 5th floor, swimming pool with debris inside, some tiles were missing, damaged wall tiles on the breakfast area, swimming pool and bar area just on the limit of it's capacity regarding guests/visitors, parking area occupied by laundry and other building materials (at least three parking spaces). I stayed in room 502 after moving from 111.
Modern and minimalist design, very functional

BelgiumI selected that hotel for its swimming pool. Unfortunately, the water temperature (25 degrees C) was a little too cold for just chilling without swimming vigorously. Also the jacuzzi was out of order.
Very good breakfast, clean rooms, not too far away from public transportation. The rooftop bar is also a plus. Friendly staff.

United KingdomThe only downside was that it is quite a walk from the centre, downhill on cobbled pavements so if you're fit to walk no issues but if not, can use Ubers which are are about 5 euro each way.
Rooms are immaculate, pool area is very relaxing, breakfast buffet had a lovely selection, we really enjoyed our stay.
