The only issue I had was that the hotel was not that easy to find at first.

This is an excellent and intimate hotel located a few steps literally from the historic center with a variety of cafés/restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful--for example, when I checked in, the front desk person went outside and found a parking space for me! Wow! Very nice breakfast with personal service! While it has a limited bar, you can simply ask the front desk and they will even pour your drink for you! I'm definitely returning to this hotel!

Location in centre of town very convenient as the old town is just behind the hotel. Friendly welcome, helpful staff. Fabulous breakfast - too much! Entrance to hotel is round the back of the hotel, not on the square. Parking on the street.

The cupboard was a bit weird, only hanging space and one shelf at the top but not a big deal.

When I got there I was given a room with no view but was moved when I asked to a lovely room overlooking the square. It had big windows that I could open so I did not need to use the air conditioner. The staff were lovely, so accommodating and friendly! A special mention to Beatrice and Gabriel who served me breakfast. Wonderful service and really friendly. The breakfast was excellent! Really set me up for the day. The bed was wonderfully comfortable so I slept well and I loved the fluffy robe that was provided. All in all, a great experience!!

I didn’t stay longer. I usually try to find something to improve upon but this place is as perfect as it gets.

It’s a bit pricey.

It’s a historical hotel nearby major attractions in town. The staff was very nice and was helpful. The breakfast is fabulous.

Beds were a bit hard for our liking.

Great location and within walking distance to the Old Town. Very nice breakfast included. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room has a refrigerator. Got lucky and was able to park directly in front of hotel.

The room was dated, but large and everything worked.

While the room was quite dated, the staff at Hotel Toural more than made up for it, particularly Gabriel and the other gentleman who works at the bar and in the breakfast room. I'm sorry that I didn't catch his name. Speaking of the included a la carte breakfast, it was fabulous. When I mentioned I'm vegan they shocked me by bringing out vegan yogurt and cheese. The next morning they remembered I was vegan and brought out the vegan products before even being asked. While usually made to feel like an imposition for asking about vegan options and workarounds, here the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy. Thanks guys. The staff at the front desk was always warm and welcoming too.

Great spot in the middle of Guimarães. Very helpful staff. Parking accommodations are easy. FYI entrance to hotel is around the back.

Hard place to find as the entry is not on Toural Square, but behind. The streets are very narrow with curbs that we had to "hop" to make a turn onto the next street. Guest parking on the street is limited. Bed was a little soft, but O.K.

Outstanding Breakfast! Incredible and personable waiter/bartender. Our room looked onto Toural Square from which we saw a midnight parade and speech celebrating Portuguese Independence. Central location to the main attractions, we didn't have to walk far.

Unfortunately, one of the advantages (being in the old town) is a disadvantage when parking. However, the staff looked after parking for us which was great.

The hotel is located right in the old town area. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were terrific. The room was spacious and had a large bathroom. The breakfast was terrific and really set us up for the day.

Window being blocked by another building.

The location was great. but I had trouble locating the hotel entrance so was another hotel gust. I liked the breakfast with freshly cooked eggs and bakery. Unlike most other places, it was a served breakfast. The only down side is the window is blocked by another building next to it. Besides that, I would like to stay again next time.
