The decoration was a bit too much for me, a bit of touch up here and there would be good Proper restaurant would have been nice, food offered for room service did look to interesting Breakfast could have been better, a bit of a downer, considering the region, I would have expected better quality and regional products (also here, less is more)

I very much liked location and the building, the views very beautiful The renovation is not exactly up to par, a bit too kitsch, plus less is more in my view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great to see that this hotel provides water for guests, as well as fruit and cookies Bringing a pet is no problem Very good sized rooms and bathrooms

Pool, breakfast, quiet. We would have given the review a 10 but we found the decor and maintenance needed a little attention here and there. Nice restaurants locally and pool table a nice touch.

Hi. very old Convent/ Church 17Centre approx. Nice large Rooms + Cool. Very nice layer out Breakfast + plenty of it. Nice large outside pool & one for the toddlers. NO Evening meal Restaurant closed so no food a bit of a disappointment for such a a romantic-Property.

It very closely resembles a Pousada but it lacks the quality of Pousadas with the furniture a little worn, but it is far better value than a Pousada. Breakfast was good but probably a bit below the average we encountered in our two week tour.

The Convento is a beautiful old building in a lovely, quiet town which we very much liked. It is well positioned for exploring the Eastern area of Portugal. Our room was spacious, overlooked the pool - which we did not use but looked very good, the interior cloister was an attractive space. The hotel does not have its own restaurant but there are a couple within a short walk. We tried both but much preferred O'Acafrao where staff were much friendlier, the food first class, the house wine excellent and the price very reasonable. The hotel has a bar which does provide good, light snacks.

Everything else. Parking was on nearby waste ground. Our superior room booking said “This room has a four poster bed”. It didn’t. Nor did it have a terrace or balcony although lots of the rooms did. There was one small window overlooking the ground floor roof, one chair which meant we had to sit on the bed, four coat hangers for two people spending five nights , the AC was very poor, the bed and pillows were hard, the breakfast was dreadful, our room was dark and in order to use the socket to charge our phone we had to unplug the room phone and the bedside light. The staff were not in any way friendly or helpful. An extremely uncomfortable and disappointing stay.

The shower wasn’t bad and there was a small fridge in the room.

My stay was wonderful. A lovely place, staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was extremely well presented with a variety of fruits, cereals, cold buffet and hot buffet. Five star treatment and highly recomendable.

This is such a beautiful building and the room was quite spacious. It even had a 4 poster bed which was very comfortable. We checked in on Valentines day and to our surprise one of the staff delivered champagne and strawberries to our room! There were already complimentary treats in the room, some cookies and chocolates. Nice breakfast selection.

The old convent has been beautifully restored with love for its history. Excellent breakfast, evening meal around the corner. Swimming pool with view over the old castle! People extremely kind and helpful.
