How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The front entrance is a bit small
The pool and spa facilities very good . However we can only access it one hour per day. We had dinner at hotel’s restaurant , food is delicious and very good presentation The breakfast buffet is the best and staff are very nice and helpful

Ion poor points, one evening meal in bar was not nice. Sauces/ gravies should be optional..

Loved the masseuse Vanessa. Really recommend. Whole massage experience was wonderful. After massage you can go and drink tea in a ‘tea room’, it’s next level relaxation. Food in the restaurant was amazing, too. Everything was smooth at the reception, lovely people.

Excellent hotel which far exceeds its four star rating ! We loved the spa with no other guests or two other people maximum. The room and other hotel areas were impeccable.

Bar was open only a few hours and when I rang the bell nobody was coming.
It was great location, very clean facility, great breakfast, room and bathroom perfect size, nice swimming pool and spa.

The hotel is amazing. Large property, very well located. Excellent breakfast with large variety. Great staff. Ines from the reception helped me to solve a difficult problem with my luggage. The spa was incredible and the thermal experience very relaxing. If I ever go back to Fatima I will stay again at Dom Gonçalo.

While the spa facilities are good, it requires some more monitoring since none of the rules were being obliged around not jump in the water, running around the pool, ideally some best practices on using the spa areas like sauna, etc

This hotel is excellent for visiting Fatima and Ourem. The staff is wonderful and helpful, the rooms are nice and comfortable, the breakfast has a great variety, and the spa is a tranquil treat. I will stay here again.

The location is perfect – close to the Sanctuary of Fátima and other main attractions, making it ideal for both relaxation and exploration. The spa was the highlight of my stay – a truly peaceful retreat with fantastic facilities, including a relaxing pool, sauna, and top-notch treatments. Amazing staff, polite, very helpful and effective. I forgot something in the room and they had no problem sending it to my address. The breakfast was amazing, felt like eating from a farm.

I wish the spa was available for longer as it was truly enjoyable.
The breakfast was delicious. The room was cleaned on a daily basis. The staff was very kind and helpful.

nothing, this hotel is impeccable! Maybe it could have an inside smokers lounge (on the other hand.. maybe one should not smoke anyway!)
Everything, its all great, the staff, the Spa, the beds, the breakfast. Its a great hotel well managed, I'm always happy to stay there everytime I'm visiting the beautiful Fátima. Highly recommend it. If i could afford it i would live there!

Loved this hotel.. Great value for money. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was so nice and friendly.. we were only to stay here for 3 nights but extended for another 3 nights we liked it that much.. a very relaxing and welcoming hotel. Would definitely come back and would highly recommend. 10/10

Time limit on pool area is ridiculous. Staff is not as friendly as they once were. Lobby bar used to be amazing drinks at reasonable prices. Now mediocre drinks at crazy prices.
Hotel has always been a great hotel. Very nice rooms and spa area.
