How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was a little confusion at check-in but this was handled well by the staff.
We had a stand alone house on the property; it was situated in the vineyard so we had spectacular views of the growing grapes and, to the west, of the setting sun. Everything was very clean and attractive. Breakfasts were good and the staff always helpful.

The decor is a bit dated at first glance, but it fits the charm of a traditional country house. It’s simple and rustic, which actually adds to the peaceful, authentic feel of the place
The pictures does not show how beautiful this place is. I stayed one night at Herdades da Frupor and really enjoyed the calm, rural setting. It’s a great place to disconnect and enjoy nature, while still being just a short drive from the beaches of the Alentejo coast. The house was charming and well-equipped, with rustic touches that match the natural surroundings. Everything was clean and cozy, and I appreciated the privacy and quiet atmosphere. It felt like a hidden gem. The staff were welcoming. If you're looking for a quiet countryside escape with access to the coast, this is a solid choice. I wish I had stayed longer!

There was only one fridge for all of the guests.
It was stunning, the apartman was comfortable, the garden area was gorgeus with the vineyard and the palm trees and the lake! The breakfast was also delicious, fresh and colorful.

The bathroom was not so clean. I found some hair on the shower floor and when we got in the room there was a bit smell of mould. We liked our stay anyway and think it's worth spending one or two nights there.
Amazing breakfast with local products. The nature, peace and quiet of the place are great too. It was nice to swim at the lake at the end of the day and we could get to many nice and beautifil beaches easliy. They produce very good wine too.

It was super nice :)
We had a perfect long stay in Herdades da Frupor, we really love it. Perfect location to spend some days and live the beauty of Alentejo. I truly recommend to stay here. The breakfast with that calm is just perfect and the attention of all the staff.

house is close to the office and factory of the farm which isn't your typical holiday scenario thats all
location is great value for money. best part are the staff and the location being close to the beach. one thing which is important to understand is that this is on a farm therefore it isn't your typical holiday environmemnt but everything worked really well and would stay there again.

The windows have no rolls, so be prepared to see the light in your room in the early morning.
The place is amazing for relaxing. The deluxe house is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by an extremelly organized landscape, becoming the right place to recharge the batteries. The lake area, the green fields, the taylored breakfast, the sunrise, all seems to be placed carefully there to allow us some memorable days. We just loved the wine tasting with Luís and the wine was a wonderful surprise! And the mini carrots for breakfast gave the final touch. We just loved it.

The 2 bedroom villa was freezing and there was only one tiny radiator for the whole house. Bathroom 's floor heating did not work. Not ideal settings if you are with small children. It smelled musty. Definitely not worth the price
The host was lovely and made us nice breakfast in the morning. Garden was pretty
