Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineI really liked the location and the unity with nature. We enjoyed the conversations of the birds. We got pleasure and inspiration. If there is an opportunity, we will come to this beautiful place again.

United KingdomThe accommodation was spacious and well-equipped; perfect for a self-catering experience. The farm provided many opportunities to appreciate the surrounding nature, with views from the terrace roof showing the surrounding water bodies and the bird-life. I was a big fan of the freedom to explore the farm with the provided bicycles, which my partner and I took advantage of almost every day. The pleasant, hot weather during our stay also meant we could fully enjoy the outdoor pool. The location of the farm also meant easy access to main roads for day trips, and the drive to Faro free city parking was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend a hire car for your stay to make the most of it. Thanks to Pedro for all the information about local activities and food places, and for being an excellent host.

United KingdomKitchen and bathroom area are a bit tired looking, fresh seals and grout would make it brighter and cleaner.
The accommodation is central but recommend taxi/Uber. The apartment was situated near the pool area and my grown up kids were in apartments across the property which they could get to on bikes provided. Great is your young and fit, and it’s day light but more tricky in the dark with a few drinks! Pool area was excellent as bbq and games provided too. All in all this was a great wee find, I’d go back and recommend it to family and friends.

As in the photo, if you are a person who likes nature, you will immediately find yourself immersed in a beautiful nature reserve. In just 10 minutes by car from the center, you can walk among olive trees, friendly horses, buffaloes ... an infinite variety of birds to listen to at night and observe during the day. Also if you do not want to move from the property, you can go cycling among the salt flats, horseback riding, play table football, ping pong or relax in the pool. The clean house is equipped with everything. Pedro is infinitely kind and professional, he recommended many places to visit and was there to make sure we did not lack anything. It was a dream to live in the countryside and in a strategic point between Faro, Lagos and Sevilla. Returning to Faro is definitely returning to Pedro. Thank you

United KingdomWe had the most incredible stay at this beautiful hotel in Portugal – everything exceeded our expectations. Carlos and Pedro provided exceptional service and hospitality, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout. The house was stunning, spotlessly clean, full of character, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, creating a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. We couldn’t fault a thing and are already looking forward to returning – a truly unforgettable experience that we’d highly recommend to anyone.

HungaryVery nice, peaceful environment with animals and nature. Pedro does everything he can to make the guests feel comfortable. There are bikes that can be used to explore the farm (and it is worth doing so), but it is good to know that these can only be used within the farm, as there is no bike path to get into Faro.

United KingdomPedro was the most gracious, friendly of hosts. Always on hand should there be anything you need. The location was superb with beautiful walks, bikes to cycle and we made use of a wonderful horse ride. A wonderful place to relax outside of the centre of Faro. We didn't require a car as Uber was always readily available for a small price. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

GermanyThe little house was so right for me, I really didn't miss anything.
I was extremely happy with the location of the little house I was given. I lies in the middle of fish ponds away from everything and yet only a short drive from Faro. My rating reflects the tranquility and privacy that this house has offered. That's what made all the difference compared to other accommodation. The house offers no luxury but had all the basics for a pleasant stay.

United StatesWe don't have any negatives for this property. We mentioned a few additions to the cabin that we thought might make future guest stays better, and Pedro was great at listening to our thoughts.
We booked the cottage with an ocean view. It is remote in the sense that nothing is around it but marsh, water, animals, and other wildlife, but in the distance you can see the city of Faro. It is a great place to stay if you want to get away but not be far away. Very peaceful and beautiful with generous, communicative hosts. The cottage is unique--an old caretakers house that has been renovated with a tiny, serviceable kitchen and a shower room with an external entrance. Fabulous rooftop terrace and you have full use of the sparkling pool and social area closer to the main house. We really enjoyed chatting with host Pedro and his family, and meeting the horses and dogs on property. If you are a 'planespotter' you will enjoy the airplanes landing and taking off from Faro airport nearby. Such a lovely stay we can't wait to return.

AustraliaNothing to dislike here.
Peace and tranquility but close to everything. The children loved the dogs and horses. Pedro was extremely welcoming and attentive. Loved the free bikes and table tennis. Kids barely used their devices which was the best part! Highly recommend for anyone seeking some relaxation away from the crowds of Faro.

This is the most gorgeous, perfectly Algarvian place ever! I want to move in! The rooms were perfect, with everything you could possibly ask for. The decor was lovely, and outside, the facades and pool were just stunning. On a working farm, it was a delight to have dogs, cows and birds all around us. I cannot fault this place at all, and we will most definitely be back! Pedro was the perfect host -- as friendly as can be! Thank you!

SerbiaIn the apartment everything is quite old and not in great shape. Forget to cook anything, the whole kitchen accessories are pretty cheap and if you try you will have some issues. We spend only the nights inside but it would be nice to be more comfortable.
The concept is nice, you come in the properties like this to relax and to enjoy in the nature. Also there are table tennis, darts, bicycles - not in great condition but you can use it. Also there are animals - cows and horses to enjoy with them or to ride if you want. The owner Pedro is super helpful.

United StatesThat I couldn't stay longer!
Loved the marsh land estuaries, the walks, farm animals and distance from town. I felt I could be in two kinds of Portugal on one trip. The smells and the vast sky scenery were a beautiful rural experience. I would recomend a car but being solo and fit I enjoyed the walk to the main road, getting the bus into Faro or getting a Bolt service. It was simply lovely and peaceful.

United KingdomWe would recommend having a hire car as it is very much out of the way here. There is a seafood restaurant and an all you can eat Chinese within walking distance, but aside from that there isn’t a shop or supermarket. We made use of Uber which is very cheap and quick. An Uber to Faro is around €6.50 and arrives within 5 minutes, so it’s not an issue. We went to Faro twice, Olhão and Loule via Uber - also for our trip to and from the airport. Personally we like being off the beaten track, and not in the thick of the tourist areas and if that’s the case you will love it here!
We had such a lovely stay here. Pedro’s hosting is second to none! He met us with the warmest of smiles, and a welcome tour of what he could show us in the dark. Throughout our stay we asked for a few things (whether my son could come and join us for a few days, extra towels for my son, how to work the washing machine, details of a takeaway that delivered to Herdade) and everything was always without issue, and quick responses! Pedro is honestly the most incredible host, but perfect as he also very much leaves you to your own devices and is not at all intrusive. He also came down to see us as we left, and this just felt so personal. We stayed in Flamingo, which is the middle apartment. The facilities are great. The kitchen is well equipped, we managed to cook every day. The bed was comfortable, and there are plenty of extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobe. Lots of hangers and drawers available for clothing. There is a dining table in the kitchen, a picnic bench in the back garden/terrace area, and a small table out the front of the apartment - so plenty of places to choose where you eat. The pool area is lovely, my son went in, but it was a bit cold for me and my partner so we just dipped our feet 😂 The weather was great at around 27 everyday! We made use of almost all of the facilities whilst here. The BBQ was great, with plenty of space. My partner cooked on there and it was delicious! Again, Pedro offered him help which was super kind. We played ping pong quite a lot, it’s a great past time and had us laughing like kids! There is a great coffee machine with pods in the communal area which is only 50 cents a go, there are also a few picnic benches, and a huge fridge freezer here (there are ice packs in this freezer which a very helpful to keep your drinks cool when you head out). Then you’ll find the bikes, there are a few different options, we chose the ones with the big comfortable seats and they were perfect!
