The room, although beautiful, was very small but for 1 person, it was ok!

It’s difficult to explain how good Guest Mar is. It is simply exceptional and the opportunity to stay in this beautifully restored property in the heart of Olhao was a delight. The breakfast is superb and every single member of the team are delightful. They simply cannot do enough for you. EVERYTHING- *The staff are so kind,friendly, helpful and informative *The breakfast is amazing with plenty of choice and great coffee too! *The snacks and coffee etc in the day a bonus! *The bed was super comfy *The linen/towels super clean and smelt nice *The air con was great *The shower was powerful *Free toiletries if you want to use them *A reading room/sun terrace if you want to use * You can borrow umbrellas, beach towels *Close to the water/ferry port/marina (10 minute walk) *It was my first time in Olhao and the town is also so lovely and the staff at Guest Mar are so informative with restaurant choices and how the ferry to the beaches work too! *If I come back to Olhao I will for sure be staying here!

Feels like home. The rooftop was every bit of my cup of tea. Got my room upgraded just because and not because I asked. The property was so well maintained and decorated beautifully. The breakfast in the morning was a beautiful touch and the beach towels and umbrellas available were very needed and wonderful

Bedroom on ground floor had slight damp smell, as is common in old buildings. Unfortunately my clothes and belongings absorbed the smell, requiring everything to be rewashed on returning home.

Bathroom is a little compact.

Authentic beautifully restored house in the centre of old town Olhão with lots of original features. Breakfast spread was excellent with lots of fresh fruit, cheese, breads and cereals. You have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen to make tea or coffee and eat the delicious treats available each day. The staff are always available to offer advice about Olhao.

I found the room quite small. The bed basically took up the space. Also, the bathroom was very small. We are small people, but i would not recommend for larger folks.

Loved the location! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. Our room was on the too level and we had the rooftop patio just outside our door, which was a huge plus. It helped to extend our room.

Soundproofing is not the best--definitely bring earplugs mostly for the noise that comes in from the outside, namely dogs in the neighborhood that bark until late at night and sometimes loud arguments on the street. The soundproofing in the house itself is also not the best, for example I could hear my neighbor's conversations in their room while I was in the bathroom, and if your door is near the main stairwell then you can hear conversations going on in the kitchen and hallway in your room. The soundproofing in the house is not that much of an issue though because people are respectful of the quiet hours.

The room was comfy, clean, and attractive, with high ceilings and lots of natural light, but also good ability to block out light for sleep. The bed is comfy and I slept really well there. Also the showers in Portugal tend to be small, and while the shower here isn't huge it was the biggest shower I encountered at any of the places I stayed at during my trip. Staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast is amazing, honestly the best breakfast I've had at accommodations in a long time. Lots of options that are healthy, nutritious, and filling with lots and lots of fresh fruits. Location is convenient and it is easy to walk to the waterfront for dining and activities.

We selected a room with a mezzanine bed. Plenty of space but stairs to mezzanine were very steep. Just be aware when booking.

The property is very stylish and peaceful. Lovely continental breakfast each day. People very accommodating. So many extras that you would not find in other hotels.
