The staff makes you feel at home. They were very kind and helpful, especially Noelia and Luisa and all the persons who prepared the breakfast which was exceptional. The location was great to visit the island with a fantastic Ocean view and near good restaurants. Garoupas inn was our best stays in a hotel ever

Only tiny improvement could be the air conditioning unit working more consistently but was fine overall.

Some of the best hotel views on the island!! Loved our balcony room. Amazing made to order breakfast every morning. Staff were always super friendly. Could access the whole island easily from there. Easy free parking. We were there for 8 nights and had the best time! Great value for the money we paid. Could walk to local market and cafe. Fun ocean swimming hole and lookout right across from the hotel.

A small family run hotel (8 rooms) located right on the water in Ponta Delgada. The family and staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room was not large, but very clean and very comfortable. Location worked very well for us - walking distance to several very good restaurants and easy access to routes out of town to explore the island.

We didn't have any problems during our stay.

The staff are fantastic at the Garoupas Inn. They were very warm and accommodating. We were teated very well for our entire stay. The location is great. Only 10 minutes from the airport. The view from our room was beautiful. The are is near to some nice restaurants and beaches. The island is not huge, so it was easy to get to all the great parks, trails and view points are within an hour from the Inn. The parking was good but there was a road closure for large waves and we had to park a short distance away one night but it was still free and seemed secure. The breakfast was very good. Overall a great stay at the Garoupas Inn. I would come back again.

The stay was overall pleasant, but I believe the rooms could benefit from some improvements in terms of infrastructure. On a few occasions, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, and there was some noise from the outside air. It would be great if the rooms were equipped with more efficient systems to ensure better comfort. Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort put into maintaining the property.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful, and the cleanliness of the property was impressive. We felt very comfortable during our stay, almost like at home

Loved this place! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice bed, nice shower. The staff is fantastic. Steve, Louisa, Maria and Noelle made us feel like family and gave great recommendations for activities and restaurants. There was a beautiful spread for breakfast every morning.

There is nothing I didn't like about it. Everything about this place was amazing.

The owner and all the staff were extremely friendly and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine in our room. They provided us with many recommendations for activities and restaurants and even made reservations for us. The breakfast was great! There was a nice selection of food and beverages, and the staff would even cook the bacon and eggs whichever way we wanted when we would come down, making sure everything was hot and fresh for us. The room was very clean and the view was spectacular! I definitely recommend getting an ocean view room, you will not be disappointed. The hot tub was also very nice. The location is great because it is close to the beach and to the downtown of Ponta Delgada but the street is quiet and peaceful. Excellent central point to explore the island from. The owner and staff really make you feel like family. I cannot recommend this place enough, I will definitely be staying here again!

Garoupas Inn offers a charming and comfortable stay with excellent service. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Great value for the price and a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

No suggestions for improvement for Garoupas Inn

Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location and ocean view. It was my favorite place to stay of many in Portugal. If space were available, we would have stayed there for 10 days rather than 5.

Wonderful room and views! The staff was excellent as well as the morning breakfast. Very nice place in a quiet area. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Everything was excellent including a space to park the car.

Great location and the breakfast was amazing, with a large variety of options and delicious local cheese, bacon and eggs every morning.

The only unfortunate thing that happened is the hot tub control board broke on our second day there and we were only able to use it once.

The view from our room was excellent. It was a small room and was comfortable. Mike and the crew were wonderful. They feed us well and did everything possible to make our visit a great one. We loved the location and would stay here again.

Need a car. Limited to an availability of restaurants. But, short walking distance to small beach areas.

Beautiful INN! Cozy and comfortable. Bedroom looked out to the ocean. Comfortable bed, modern bathroom, and delicious breakfast with many options. Fresh fruit and bread, cheese, deli meat, coffee, tea, juice, eggs and bacon!
