Even though the building is old it has its charm

The hotel itself is quite antique, it would probably require some renovation but the staff covered for this but being extra attentive and helpful. Breakfast was nice and the views were fantastic. You can use the catamaran for free and enjoy a nice swim in the river.

Could do with updating balcony furniture. Sunbed was really low and uncomfortable and chair had a chunck out of it and needs updating.

Friendly welcoming reception staff. Amazing views of the river/lake from our room, even when laying in bed. Even the bath had a large window next to it, so you could have a relaxing bath with a beautiful river/lake view. Air con was excellent. Bed really comfortable.

Food at the restaurant was amazing but some of the staff was not that friendly.

Lots of stairs so no good if you are not mobile.

Great location, right on lake and near to the place where you can hire SUPs and canoes. Lovely pool and a great breakfast

We had a lovely stay, with great freindly staff, and a very nice restaurant. The location and pool, right next to the lake was really something special. The smaller occupancy, and period charm of the hotel, also really worked for us. We will definitley return.

We love to stay here, it was our second time at Lago Azul and it was perfect. The vintage feel and all the faciliteis make this hotel very cosy and this time we enjoyed the open fireplace at the bar while looking at the beautiful view. The room was great and the breakfast worderful. We'll be back for sure.

Sofas in bar/lounge area are dirty and need a good clean.

Lovely room with everything we needed except for milk to have with coffee. Amazing views. Great swimming pool.

the lack of insect screens on the bedroom window meant that - given the nearness of the lake - we were severely bitten if we wanted the room aired; unfortunately, and this matters because there is nowhere else nearby to eat, the quality of the evening meals in the restaurant was mediocre and did no credit to what is otherwise an excellent hotel.

the location was wonderful: a tranquil setting on a forested hillside on the edge of the lake with beautiful walks. the room was very spacious. the hotel was comfortable, with lots of public spaces and terraces overlooking the lake. the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. the breakfast was fine, though unfortunately not a buffet as advertised.

Too many steps down to the pool and up again. There is a lift within the hotel but then you have over 30 steps to get to the level of the pool outside. Pool not child friendly if your child cannot swim.

Spectacular views. Pool was great.. rooms had beautiful views to wake up to. Great variety for breakfast.

The staff although very pleasant and accommodating in the restaurant area, were not always very available. They spent a great deal of time in the kitchen. Perhaps because it was the end of the busy season and there weren't many of us in the restaurant at one time. Although this did not apply to us, many people have already commented, the pool is not small child friendly. It quickly goes into a deep end.

This is very cozy and inviting small hotel. Loved how it was decorated. Made it feel homey. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. We also had one dinner in the restaurant and found the food very good. It is located in a very small community with nothing much around besides the manmade river beach. Their sister Aparthotel is close by and also has a very nice café/restaurant.The nearest town with restaurants etc. is around 5km away. The hotel itself though was very nice.

Everything was amazing! The location is beyond spectacular! The pool was amazing, the food was excellent, and the staff went out of their way to make me vegan dinners. The suite with the balcony was fantastic and very good value for money. I only wish we had time to have stayed longer.

The outside of the hotel needs a little cleaning. Bar and restaurant prices are a bit high.

Medium size buffet breakfast. Bar and restaurant with decent quality. The interior of the hotel looked nice although a bit dated. Some indoor entertainment ping pong and snooker available. Good swimming pool. Decent sized room with a good view of the mountains and river. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Free WiFi.

The rooms could be a little bigger

Amazing spot. The hotel is always quiet because there's only 20 rooms. The landscape is amazing, looks like you arrived in paradise.
