One of two areas are probably overdue a bit of a spruce up but I can't say there was anything that bothered us in any way during our stay.

Our fourth visit to Colina Village in a period spanning over a decade. The accommodation is basic but comfortable. The pool area is nice to relax with an open air bar and a restaurant which serves breakfast, all day lunch options and dinner in the evening. It makes for a pleasant setting and the one thing that stands out how friendly and helpful all of the staff which really makes a difference. Colina Village is also only 5 minutes from Carvoeiro town centre where there is an excellent selection of shops and restaurants and they'll arrange a taxi for you quickly at the main reception.

Tennis courts could be free of charge for the guests. I did not feel like paying to play with my 9-year old kid. Restaurant could improve the food quality. The live-music was of a low standard. Small supply of toilet paper. Poor light blockage, thus difficult to sleep in the morning. Internet was not functioning.

Large swimming pools, family friendly property. Convenient to have a restaurant and a small bar. Staff is friendly.

The air conditioning did not work at all on two of the three units.I asked every day for someone to resolve.Very polite. but no action taken despite temperatures approaching 40 degrees.

The air conditioning didn't work in double bed room they said they fixed it but it never worked. The pool would do with the tiles been fixed and so could the hole as you go into the restaurant area. You need to get a taxi everywhere as it is to hot to walk. Entertained was poor. Variety of breakfast was very poor. The security in the village was very poor, cars come and go and nobody checks them to see if they are staying at the location. You wouldn't feel safe with young children there.

The kitchen equipment was not that good, the cooker in der kitchen didn't work well, There are only a few electricity plugs in the appartment, in the bathroom even none. The bathroom is not quite modern.

The village is clean, very nice and well cared. There are beautiful plants. The staff in the restaurant and in the office is very friendly and helpful. Our appartment was big and comfortable.

The free WIFI was not available in the room or at the pool area, only directly at the office. At today's standards that was unacceptable.

The location was perfect for our purposes. The restaurant on-site was very good and the restaurant staff was excellent.

The decor is very basic and dated. Seems a real shame as could be easily made better we some new paint and furniture.

Great pool and nice grounds. We were able to check in early too which was brilliant. Offered three bedrooms, which is limited in the algarve for hotels.

The photo gave the impression that is close to the beach. But, it is not! No way to go walking.
