How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Just about location, with no parking area available (quite difficult to find a spot in the street) and, it was kind of far from big supermarkets.
Very nice hotel with very nice place to stay outside in the pool.

It would be great if there was a room that could accommodate 4 people, for families with two children.

Nothing, it was excellent
Have visited this hotel on many occasions the staff are so friendly and the hotel is excellent. Rooms are a good size and very clean. The swimming pool and surrounding area are cleaned every day. A great place to enjoy a wonderful relaxing stay.

There was nothing I didn't like
This hotel is a little hidden gem. Spotless clean and very cosy good sized beds. Rooms had towels changed daily which you don't often get, especially for a short stay of 3 nights. Hotel staff were so nice and really helpful. The pool area was also beautiful and relaxed and very clean. We weren't departing to late after check out and they let us use their facilities and showers which was so thoughtful. We will definitely be back. It's definitely a place to go if you want to relax. It was so quiet and peaceful

Breakfast area was very small. No proper bar area. No non alcohol beer or wine.

Just a few minutes walk to bars, restaurants, bus station and train station. Pool towels and toiletries supplied. Rooms cleaned every day. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a late flight, and we were able to use the hotel facilities, and they had a shower we could also use. Very comfortable bed.

I have nothing bad to write about!
We loved our stay here! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The room was extremely clean and we had fresh towels daily. The air conditioning in the room was very effective and it was also nice to be able to fully open the windows if we wanted to. The pool facilities were great, also very clean and never too busy. The breakfast was delicious and definitely worth the very reasonable price. We had a few questions before our stay which were all answered very quickly and in a very polite manner. We would definitely recommend staying here to friends!

A fair way from the main town area ….. couldn’t just pop around the corner for a meal

Wish we could stay longer! …but will be back.
Second stay at hotel was excellent. Booked a studio both times which gives every comfort including separate kitchenette, soundproof bedroom with comfy queen bed, and access to small balcony. Staff are excellent and on duty at all hours, always friendly, professional and helpful with every detail. Hotel is walking distance to everything - market, train, ferries, local shops, ATM, bus and 20 minutes by taxi/Uber from airport. Onsite pool has selection of un/shaded seating areas and is great for cooling off. TV has English movie channels and WiFi stable for work meetings. Can’t ask for anything more, and super value on top of it all!

Nothing it was all perfect
Although the property was situated on a backstreet in Olhao it was very easy to make your way around on foot to the riverfront and the shops and restaurants.

It was situated a bit away from the main area of Olhao but was within walking distance.
Very helpful staff.Breakfast was excellent-plenty of choice from fresh fruits/yogurts to hot food to delicious pastries
