The property was in walking distance to the town of Ponta Delgada. It was adjacent to a park. The room was very large for a family of 4. It was beautiful, updated and the pool was fabulous. The breakfast was delicious and a full variety. They ran out of pancakes and made more for my son! They had fruit, water and coffee out during the day for a snack. The staff was always so warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. One of the best stays we ever had.

Just wish we had more time there

Amazing! What a treat to stay here. The house is beautifully designed. We wanted to record all of the details of the interior and exterior of the house. We only had under 24 hours to stay and in that time we enjoyed a lovely cheese and fruit tray and wine by the pool and sat in the jacuzzi nestled in a small greenhouse, purchased some local gifts in their display for souvenirs, and savored a delicious breakfast buffet. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They even loaned me a power adapter that I lost. We appreciated the espresso, tea, and treats left out. Every aspect was thoughtful and intentional. The owner made a point to ask us what more she could provide us and personally brought us wine. 10/10!

We weren't sure where to check in. It would be nice if there was a sign at the main entrance. Many people asked where to check in when we were sitting outside.

Staff was very helpful. They offered to pack us a boxed breakfast if we has plans before 8AM, which was very nice. Breakfast was excellent when we dined in. The pool and hot tub were very nice, as was the overall feel of the room and property. We spent many hours on our terrace sipping espresso and wine, and loved our stay.

A wonderful Portuguese style house! Everything was perfect and nice: very tasty breakfast, comfortable room, all services, jacuzzi, swimming pool, terrasse in front of the room, etc. Situated at a walking distance from downtown, parking in front of the hotel. Highly recommended!!

Everything! It was the nicest hotel we have stayed at during our time in the Acores. We loved simply everything, the beautiful room, the friendly staff who even prepared a take away breakfast for our early flight, everything was spotlessly clean, the pool is nice and the jacuzzi has an amazing design. We would have loved to stay for a week but unfortunately only booked our last night there, not knowing what we gonna miss out on

The extra bed (sofa) could have been more comfortable and the American cocrouch by the entrance to the house was nor appreciated (but we saw them in more places throughout the island).

The location was great and walking distance everywhere, the architecture and style was amazing with contemporary design features, breakfast (incl. gluten free) was very comforting. Swimming pool with good music was also appreciated. Free street parking next door was essy to find and almost always available (except for concerts time).

FABULOUS! I would like to rate it 12 on a scale of 10. Above all expectations, this must be the most charming hotel in Ponta Delgada (or Sao Miguel..) Wonderful rooms, breakfast, seating area. Very nice outdoor pool and a jacouzi in a cozy green house. Everything is foreseen, also pool towels and robe. I also recommend to try the cheese platter which is served with different types of bread.

Beds were a little firm, but otherwise everything was amazing! It would not be a great choice if you have mobility issues -- the stairs are unavoidable.

This has to be one of the most beautiful buildings in Ponta Delgada, and the inside is modern, clean, and well designed. Our room was enormous, with plenty of room for two adults and two "tween" kids. I was thrilled to have a small kitchenette and dining table. The morning breakfast had a lot of variety, and the coffee was delicious. And the pool was a perfect afternoon break after a morning of exploring. The staff was kind and helpful. We love Casa Portuguesa!

Nothing. It was just a shame that breakfast was from 8am to 10.30am and we had to leave earlier for a flight.

The house is beautiful, set in lovely gardens with a good size pool. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have everything you need. Beds are very comfortable and the large walk in shower is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I thought I had booked two beds but it seems I didn't. The sofa bed was made up in the room quickly and without any fuss. Lots of attention to detail like decaf coffee being available.

Charming House is incredible, from the architecture to the decor, to the excellent service. Shout out to Renata and Tania who gave us wonderful restaurant and activity recommendations and took great care to answer our questions and accommodate us. I could not recommend Charming House more and will definitely be staying there again.
