Reviews of Casa dos Tios

This was by far my most favorite stay in Portugal. The bed was comfy, the shower excellent, but the hosts were out of this world. They were so gracious and friendly, and they went above and beyond to make us delicious vegan breakfast. It felt like we were staying with family.

The breakfast was phenomenal! We stayed in high end hotels in Spain and Porto, Portugal that had hugh buffet breakfasts—the breakfast we had for the 3 days were better—greater variety and better quality.

Absolutely nothing.

The location of the house was within walking distance of all Fatima major attractions and within easy driving distance to Tomar, Nazare and other attractions. The breakfast was exceptional with local produce, pastries and eggs to order. Our hosts were very welcoming and were available to answer any questions. It was very enjoyable to talk with them both and hear the many stories of Portuguese life. Thank you for a wonderful stay 😁

Everything was amazing, we felt like at home. They treat us like family. The house is literally near Lucia’s Home. The breakfast was amazing!!

The room with the bathroom was extremely clean and comfortable, with a great feeling of spending time inside. The temperature inside was perfect. The beds were great. The hosts welcomed us as if we were their family. The breakfast was very good. There is a big parking place in the backyard (it's better to come by car). The location is great if you want to visit the most important sites related to Fatima. Everything was just great! We would like to come again.

We loved our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. We liked that we were located outside of the main center of town but located next door to some of the main historical sites of Fatima. You felt like you were staying in small Portugal village. The owners make you feel like family and open up their house to you. Make sure you ask about the family history of the house.

We had such a warm and friendly welcome and experience. The hosts are superb, so hospitable. It was like going to visit your aunt and uncle. Thank you for leading the way to the Sanctuary and then showing us the apparition sites. Fatima and our stay with you was the highlight of our vacation in Portugal.

The hosts were amazing and the most hospitable beautiful people. Drove us to dinner and made the most delicious breakfast. Location was authentic and charming. Best stay ever !!!!!!

The owners, Otilia and Albano, were gracious and made our visit exceptional! They gave us awesome recommendations for resturants and activities. The accommadations were very comfortable and clean! The breakfast was well-rounded and nutritional. We hope to return next year with our family.

The weather was rainy, however evening fires in the fireplace were cozy and warm!

It was very clean and cosy. A home away from home. It was in the heart of all the tourist attractions so didn’t have to walk far to see the homes of the Apparition Children. It had really good WiFi facilities. the breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. Owners always had freshly baked cakes left out for guests and coffee/tea. The hosts were so accommodating of my late check in and responded to all my messages about my flight delay. I got in at midnight and they stayed up to welcome me and had cake and coffee for me. I felt really at home here and safe. it was very quiet so I could work. They also shared a lot of history of the area which was really good. I highly recommend this accommodation.

I loved everything about this property.

I love being two doors down from Lucia’s house. The Martos family house is nearby. This made it easy to make multiple visits. If you have a car, it is easy to reach the sanctuary of Fatima otherwise it is a mile and a half walk along the outdoor stations of the cross. Very generous breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs cooked to order. Comfortable, clean rooms Kind, cheerful, thoughtful, accommodating hosts

Hosts were AMAZING! Super friendly and wonderful people. They suggested a couple of local restaurants for dinner. We chose one and it exceeded our expectations. They made us an incredible breakfast - way more than 2 people could ever eat. Fresh fruit, figs from the tree in the garden, baked croissants, several meats and cheeses, pastel de nata, and more! The room has a spacious bathroom with a large shower and great water pressure. I can't say enough good things about this place and the hosts!
