There was a very very loud festival on the waterfront opposite which made relaxing on the terrace in the evenings impossible.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa dos Mercados. The room was exceptionally elegant, with beautifully tasteful interior design that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was perfect—fresh, varied, and delicious. And the location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Olhão, making it easy to explore everything the town has to offer.

I had packed a few dresses (not long) but the wardrobe hanging space could only accommodate a shirt or skirt length. If a few hooks could be provided at the side of the shelving this would be better than having to hang dresses in the bathroom.

Casa dos Mercados is exactly what we were hoping for in a small, independent hotel. The quality, from the choices at the well- stocked buffet breakfast (hot and cold options) through to the large walk-in shower and the generous room size more than exceeded our expectations. We were concerned that the location, whilst convenient to the ferries to the islands, close to a number of very good restaurants and directly opposite the market , could be noisy. Far from it, the glazing ensured an excellent sleep and we were able to enjoy 'people watching' from all three terraces. We had a wonderful stay and would strongly recommend

Amazing stay at Casa dos mercados, it is in a great location. The breakfast was lovely, lots to choose from. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated with little extras like speakers, robes and slippers. Staff are so lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Check in wasn’t the smoothest could have been a bit easier, had to call to drop bags prior but lady didn’t speak English so had a struggle and there was no lift

Perhaps one improvement point: to offer more shaded areas outside for breakfast. But this is my preference, not a general problem.

Everything was great but one minor thing was the bathroom doesn’t have a vent which could be a benefit as sometimes the room smelt a bit damp.

Beautiful accommodation in the heart of the town, with good views of the islands. Very comfortable rooms and tasteful decor. Breakfast room is fantastic and loved how meet other guests around a big shared table for friendly chatter! We will come back. Thank you

Such a lovely vibe about the place. So well thought out- every single need was looked after. Fantastic breakfast provided each day and you could pop back for coffee and cake at anytime during the day (for free!) The property was very close to all the best restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Spotlessly clean and extremely welcoming staff

For anyone driving into town, the public parking (where you can park overnight) is a bit of a walk away so be prepared to move your luggage.

Friendly staff and located right across from the water and fish market as the name suggests. Breakfast includes a variety of items including a few hot options.

No instructions for the cooling/heating system, no instructions for the electronic locks. On the arriving day we were "locked in" inside (the batteries in the electric lock were almost dead) the room because we did not understand how the lock worked manually. It was good that we had normal keys as well. The access keys for the locks should be sent by a text message, not via WhatsApp. I had just changed the teleoperator and the dataroaming was not on. Took me while to realize this. Super nice cleaning lady let us in and I received the message when I signed in the hotels wifi network. I don't like locks that only work with the code.

Super breakfast, nice rooms, good beds, bathrobe and big towels, fairly quiet but there were not many rooms (6) and not all occupied during our stay. Free wifi. TV had also the other than the Portuguese channels.

The room was very clean and beds , pillows and towels were of the highest quality as were the tea and coffee facilities in the room The location was fantastic near to restaurants and bars and the breakfast was layed out everyday and was very good tea , coffee and cake was available all day and night without charge The pool was warm and clean and was perfect to relax in
