The beds were not so comfy. And the garden chairs are dangerous rotten. Cooking plate needs some explanation.

Grand property with beautiful garden. Our daughter loved the swimming pool and hot tub. Spacious rooms, cleaned every day. Very friendly staff and owners! Extremely helpful with all they can assist with.

Nothing, the place is heaven on earth.

Paula's accommodation is nested beautifully inside an own "jungle" that disconnects you from your troubles and connects you to nature and complete peace of mind. The apartment itself is tastefully and rustically designed, with all the necessary appliances and comforts you may need for your stay. On top of it, you have an infinity pool and an outdoor jacuzzi at your disposal. 10 out of 10 for us and we're already planning out return. Thank you, Paula, for your warm hospitality <3

The junior suite we chose is quite small (which is fair, given its lower price). While the bedroom is fine, the kitchenette is too small to prepare even simple hot meals. It's sufficient for making breakfast, but cooking something like pasta can be challenging. There is a stove available in a shared space (which we used), but we only had a small pot and a small pan in our suite. To be fair, I’m sure if you asked the hosts for an extra pot or pan, they would provide one.

The place is charming and has the authentic feel of an Azorean estate. People who run it are really kind, helpfull and welcoming. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden. If there weren’t so many things to see on the island, I would have loved to spend the whole day in the garden — reading a book under a tree or relaxing in the pool. There is a common space for all guests - nicely adapted wine cellar.

I would recommend it everybody but if there was something it’s about the humidity. But if you want a house on you holiday like this you should expect it also a bit.

The place is beautiful with the feeling of the island and nature. All in the forest so you really have a warm and welcome holiday feeling with a host who breathe hospitality.

The only minor downside for us was the size of the bed. My husband is 1.82 meters tall and had a hard time getting comfortable. A larger bed would certainly have been appreciated. Aside from that, everything was excellent.

Our stay was perfect. The spacious room—with a kitchenette, separate sitting area, bathroom, and bedroom—met all our expectations. The peace and quiet we experienced here are truly hard to match. The surroundings are simply stunning. If we return to explore the beautiful island of São Miguel again, this will undoubtedly be our accommodation of choice.

Not about the property, everything was perfect. I was just mad at myself for not taking advantage of the wealth of local information the owners have!

It was so charming! I loved my little apartment and the secluded courtyard. The owners were great - my flight arrived extremely late and they waited up for me.

The location was perfect. Close to amenities and easy to travel to wonderful tourist sites. The hot tub after a long day of site seeing was perfect. The gardens were beautiful. The games room was enjoyed. The fire place in our unit was wonderful for a chilly night.

It is a huge garden with whirlpool, pool, small areas for breakfast etc. The staff is very caring and personally gives you infos about San Miguel. Very pleasant stay.

There were some little problems that were resolved with the host’s assistance.

The accommodation is located in a kind of estate, surrounded by endless greenery. The house itself had everything we needed – even a fireplace. The beds were very comfortable. Daily cleaning services were provided, and laundry services were available if needed, which was very convenient. Any problem that came up was promptly resolved thanks to the amazing Paula and her husband. The location is excellent, and the price is more than fair.

Absolutely amazing. We've stayed at Casa do Populo for a week and we had a great experience. The house is well equipped and is surrounded by nature. The host is very kind, helpful and has given us a lot of advice what to visit on the island. The location is perfect for exploring Sao Miguel. Will definitely book again.

If everything in the casa functioned.

The address we were given did not get us to the property. Had to get Andre to direct us there on our Whats App. Tried it again next day and still did not get us to property. Thankfully Beatriz sorted it out for us with a different address. We had no hot water, but Beatriz arranged to get that fixed. Ended up with a water leak in kitchen, and our stovetop did not function. Thankfully Beatriz was a wonderful help. Wifi very spotty. Otherwise place was great

We had a great time at Casa Do Pópulo. The grounds are stunning and the home had everything we needed. We were only on the island for 2 nights, are definitely planning to return and will stay here again :)

This house is a true gem, located within a small area of lush green vegetation, surrounded by an abundance of trees and plants. The natural setting creates a refreshing atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house itself is equipped with all the amenities you could need, ensuring a comfortable stay. The cleanliness of the house is impeccable, with regular cleaning services provided. The host also provided us with a detailed explanation of all the things that is worth visiting in the island, including tips for best restaurants, hiking trails, etc. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat in a beautiful, green environment.

You definitely need car for this location to move around and although it felt like a good base to move around the island, when night falls there is nothing really close by such as restaurants to walk in. The room was spacious but very humid if not the AC the clothes feel constantly wet, which leads the bathroom that in my opinion needs improvement, the shower springles water everywhere the tails on the floor were always wet, adding towels on the floor didn’t help. In my opinion, despite the facilities, I feel the accommodation is overpriced.

Spacious. The property has a massive area, with good weather is perfect for barbecue, trailing, outdoor activities. The outdoor jacuzzi is excellent and the facilities overall around the accommodation are excellent. Gate private parking and nice wife.

The only thing I didn't like is that the place feld a bit humid.

Very cosy and friendly place, super spacious. Kitchen was equipped with everything I needed. Good location to explore all of the island.

The air con positioning as mentioned (although were grateful to have had aircon!). Location was not ideal, not the easiest to get about - when we did try public transport, it didnt show up.

Fabulous surroundings on the property, private, pretty, romantic. Room was equally lovely, although I struggled with the air con being directly over the bed as I have sinus problems! The hot tub was amazing, pool was lovely, although the weather meant we only braved it once. Lovely lounging space/bar area too, would be a great location for a group trip. Helpful hosts.
