Lovely house with shared kitchen & living room. The owners were excellent, very welcoming & keen to ensure our stay was the best it could be.

Not much to complain about. The bed was a little too firm.

It was a hot day when we arrived, and we got the room that is on bottom floor and stayed nice and cool. The owner met us and told us all about it, he has done much of the work to renovate it himself and it shows with the craftsmanship. There is a nice roof-top patio which is nice in the evenings to just sit and enjoy a cool drink. Local market is nearby, and there is a shared kitchen to keep food and drink in.

This was one of the only places we booked on our 3 week trip that didn't have a continental breakfast included, so if you are looking for that, might not be the place, but we found plenty of cafes nearby.

Very nice location, well equipped kitchen, lovely terrace Shop just a minute away

The Internet was terrible, not remote work friendly. The walls are very thin, you can hear an uncomfortable amount of noise and general sounds from other rooms

    Friendliness. Clean.

The internet was weak and spotty at times. We are elderly so the large stairs were a challenge.

Location was excellent. Across the street from the train station and a ten minute walk to the ferry and the heart of Olhao. Our hosts allowed us to stay on check out day until 3 o’clock and on leaving they told us if we needed anything to phone them. Best hosts ever.

Cleanliness in bathroom and bed room. Exceptionally well equipped modern kitchen with all essential implements.

Property was 1st class. However the bedroom has no natural light as high wall surrounds it and veranda area. Bed extremely comfortable but little space to move around it.

I can honestly say we(myself and a sister)loved everything about our accommodation. Tastefully designed , spotless clean, generous host,Lovely terrace to watch the sun go down, great location next to railway station to visit other nearby towns. Next to fab seafood restaurant owned by host. A few minutes walk to the beautiful centre of olhoa. Very authentic area of Portugal. We had a late evening flight and our host very kindly let us stay without charge till we departed for airport. We will definitely be back to stay here again.

There was nothing about this accommodation I didn't like

Junior Suite - a spacious room with big and comfy bed and additonal cozy sofa. Big and clean bathroom. Fully equiped kitchen for those who want to prepare their meals themselves. Nice roof terrace to relax in the evening. Very good localization in a quiet area but still very close to center. Very enthusiastic and helpful owners Rui&Andreia.

Olhao feels like the hidden gem of Algarve and Casa de Poco is the perfect place to stay to explore all of its delights. You are greeted by Rui & Andreia, two very kind people who really put time into making it the best possible stay during your time there. The room is great, and the accomodation is a historical landmark of Olhao making your stay even more special. It has great kitchen facilities and shared areas to enjoy that Algarve sun. Rui & Andreia also operate Petiscais, the restaurant opposite the accomodation and it is honestly one of the best restaruants I have dined at. Great food made with love the the setting on a train line gives it a great feeling. Muito Obrigadio Rui & Andreia

I would have liked to stay longer!

Rui greeted me with such warmth & passion, such a lovely experience. Later that evening I met Andreia, his wife & business partner in the restaurant. It's very apparent they are passionate of the wonderful hospitality venues they have created with their own bare hands... such a full-on restoration of 2 gorgeous historic properties. The property presents exactly as shown in the photo's, in fact it's even better. Beds are super comfy & shower has excellent pressure, with plenty of hot water. There is a wonderful little kitchen with everything you could possibly need, with the basics to get you started. I loved that I could re-create dishes I'd eaten in local restaurants! Speaking of which, the couple own a beautiful restaurant located in the old Olhao train station across the road - the food is quite creative, very yummy, coffee is good & service either from Andreia or Rui is an added experience. I extended my initial 6 day stay to 10 days - even this is not enough time to explore Olhao and get to know the locals. Rui's enthusiasm has helped make my mind up to move to Olhao in a couple of years time upon full retirement. Love the place :-) I highly recommend Case do Poco.

    Nothing, everything was perfect.

The hosts greeted us exceptionally well and made us feel really welcome by chatting with us for about an hour at check in. The information they gave us as we checked in about ferries, beaches, restaurants etc helped us act like locals from the second day, which made the holiday so great. The ease of access via WhatsApp with them meant that any query was answered quickly and really helped. The house was great with a nice rooftop for drinking wine, as well as the location being 10 minutes walk away from the sea front. On top of all that the restaurant they own nextdoor served really tasty food and was definitely worth visiting twice for our evening meals. I would definitely visit Rui and Andreia again!

Casa do Poco is like staying in someone's home while the hosts are away. It has a roof terrace, living room and kitchen to hang out in and the owner Rui ( who runs a local popular fish restaurant) and his wife are always just on the end of the phone to answer any questions or for advice about the area. The local supermarket is a bit limited but we found a large Auchan ( French supermarket) and a great bakery on the other side of the railway track. Mind you the food is so good in Olhao and the prices so reasonable that you will want to eat out when you can. Or shop in the amazing market on Saturday. Rui kindly booked us an electric taxi for our next stop. We will return in the autumn for another dose of Moorish and Atlantic coast style.
