Fine for us but you do need a car as it is remote ish. Nothing not to like, we didn’t really use the kitchen which is in a separate building but it is there if you need it.

Loved it at Casa da Reina, perfect for our family of 5. We had all three rooms which were lovely, comfortable beds with quality bedding. Everything was spotless in the rooms. Quirky and rustic a true picture of beautiful northern Portugal. Cecilia and family were wonderful hosts with homemade breakfast a perfect addition to our stay.

Authentic farmhouse dating back to 1744 with a magical walled garden and pool, beautifully lit in the evenings. Large, comfortable bedrooms with pristine white bedding and towels. Our hosts, Cecelia and Cristiano, were warm and welcoming and we learnt a lot about rural life in Portugal from them. We enjoyed the organic wine that they produced and we had everything we needed to cook and barbecue. At breakfast each morning Cecelia gave us wonderful advice on the best places to visit in the area. We enjoyed a tour of the wine-making facilities and tasted some garden produce - best tomatoes ever!

This is a beautiful old property in peaceful countryside, near some nice beaches. It has lovely gardens and a good large room. Cecilia and her family were really friendly and helpful.

I just wish we had stayed longer. It's truly a beautiful place to stay.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room was spotless with a big comfortable bed, sofa area and big bathroom. The pool and gardens were stunning. There was a shared kitchen and eating area for making meals as well as bbq. The hosts were amazing and could not have been kinder. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. This is one of the nicest places I have ever visited and I would highly recommend it to others. If you are hiking the Camino I would recommend booking for 2nights here and taking a rest day to make the most of the property and gardens.

Lovely place, wish we could have stayed longer. We were walking the Camino and it was in a perfect location. We enjoyed a bottle of their organic white wine and an Uber delivery from an Indian restaurant. Great breakfast.

    It was all wonderful.

I booked this place for two days so I could do a rest day while walking the Camino. It was perfect. The room was beautiful and the garden is stunning. It is the best place for a rest day if you can swing it. It is literally on the Camino and the owner Cecilia is one of the best. She took me to the grocery store to buy food, she did my laundry, she happily dealt with my endless requests. This place is special. You can cook in the kitchen, drink their amazing white wine that they produce, get a great breakfast in the morning before continuing your Camino. Cant recommend highly enough.

The heat was either not on or I couldn’t figure out how to use it so the room got a bit cold by early morning.

A lovely property with a great spacious room and bathroom. Very traditional and spotlessly clean. The ground also amazing. Too early in the season for the swimming pool which must be great when warmer. Breakfast was of a great quality and plentiful including bacon and eggs. Hosting was also great. It was uncharacteristically cold and the heating was on, but our room was quite chilly. A really enjoyable stay when walking the Camino.
