More comfortable seating inside and especially outside as it was hot. It would be lovely to be able to chill outside on a comfortable chair. Also a fan as it was hot inside the house.

It is a cute house, small but it has everything you need. Nice seating area at the top of the stairs. Pedro and Tiago are really friendly and helpful as we enjoyed chatting to them. They are welcoming and very nice people.

My family and I received a very warm welcome from Pedro as soon as we arrived by train from Porto. He works in the small restaurant across from the train station. We were treated to a complimentary fruit juice for all four of us. Nothing special to say about the apartment, as we only stayed there for one night. Everything was clean, and the apartment had a generous continental breakfast (enough to make sandwiches for lunch). Two single beds in one bedroom and a double bed in the second. I almost forgot, Pedro speaks fluent French. I highly recommend it. It's enough for a one or two night stay in Pinhão.

The stairs! About 50+ concrete steps most without handrails for support. Very challenging if you are over 80 (moi) and have luggage (for 3 months travel)

Stairs up were steep, not recommended for anyone with suitcases, backpacks and no mobility issues is fine.

The space has a musty smell, my travel companions had trouble with allergies in the apartment. Be ready for stairs, we had no trouble with them but many older folks would struggle.

The location couldn't be better. The host was amazing, so helpful. His recommendations were spot on fabulous. The apartment is small but has all that you need.

Minor inconvenience of having to pay via cash/apps instead of by card, but there is an ATM very close so it's not a major issue.

Very friendly host, who provided helpful information and recommendations, as well as quick responses when needed. Breakfast food was lovely, room was clean and there wasn't a lot of noise during the night. Location is within walking distance of pretty much everything in Pinhao.

We noticed the bathroom had a musty odour on the first night of our stay, but this disappeared after the first night. We didn’t report it as it went away.

We had a wonderful two-night stay in this great value apartment. The main asset here is the host Pedro, who had excellent communication and advice and carried our heavy suitcases up and down the many stairs. Balcony had a standing view of the river and provided a nice place to sit and have a drink in the beautiful valley. Close to the station and supermarkets. Excellent kitchen setup with everything you need and cheese, charcuterie, and daily fresh bread for breakfast. Apartments are still under development - interior renovations are complete but exterior still a little shabby, didn’t bother us and the overall environment was atmospheric. Handled our washing. Comfortable bed. Would happily return.

~50 stairs to get to the place, might be an issue for some. Musty smell in room, but went away with window open, or AC unit dehumidifying.

Pedro made our stay very good. Fresh bread daily, coffee, juice, meat, cheese, jam and butter for breakfast. Gave lots of recommendations for the area. Welcome drink was a bonus. Laundry was also greatly appreciated. Easy area to walk to everything we needed.

Pedro (the host) was very welcoming and helpful. He provided recommendations on restaurants, grocery stores, wineries and activities throughout our stay. Delicious breakfast was provided. The property has a lovely patio in back which was a perfect place to relax in the evenings to enjoy some wine.
