The room itself really needs some love. The floor, doors, and windows were just too old, and it made the space feel tired. The washbasin and toilet looked like they hadn’t been updated in ages. A renovation would seriously improve the comfort.

The location was amazing right in the center of everything, super convenient for getting around. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made the stay even better.

If your room is facing the Main Street then be prepared for a lot of noise from the party people walking home. As there’s no AC, we had to have the windows open and thus no sleep. Kitchen is quite lacking as there’s no access to a sink for water (they do offer a jug of tap water) and lack of tables to eat

The location is great as it’s in the centre of town

Great position, in the real centre of Lagos. My room was comfortable and also with a sink. The view on the rooftop was stunning. I was a bit concerned about the three toilets only, but they were always free. Thank you also for the punk music night ;)

Due to it being in the middle of old town, it is very noisy at night with the restaurants that operate out the front. The room could have been cleaner - there were cobwebs around the windows and mould on the walls.

Caravela accommodation is in an old building in the centre of the old town which is the perfect location for accessing the beach, shops, restaurants etc. The size of the room was good. It is budget accommodation so you get what you pay for.

Excellent location, very friendly staff and great value for money out of summer season

The lights in the room are unnecessarily dim! I seriously thought about going out and buying my own lightbulbs for my stay. The only thing needed is brighter light bulbs. When you turn on the lights they almost make no difference to the darkness in the room.

Caravela has many private rooms at varying sizes. The staff are very friendly and ready to help. The location is right in the middle of the busy tourist center with restaurants and shops the moment you step out the door. The sea is only a short walk away. Inside the property it is surprisingly very quiet considering the hustle and bustle outside. The roof is a nice place to sit, relax and/or look at the activity below. There are not many facilities for when the place is full. There is one table in the central lobby area, and one microwave, a kettle, one coffee machine that required Delta Q pods or equivalent and a few cups, as well as some cutlery and plates. The staff wash up anything used. There are only 2 tables on the roof (the roof could be made into an oasis for travelers). There are only 3 (I believe) toilets with showers to be shared with everyone. The room prices become ridiculously expensive like everywhere else in Lagos during summer season, but out of season the place is less full so you have easy access to everything mentioned and the rooms are excellent value for money. Oh yeah, towels are provided, the internet is good, there was a sink in my room which was useful, and my mattress was hard, which I personally love and found extremely comfortable.

I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t wash my hands when I used the kitchen unless I went to the bathroom. There was paper provided though.

The property was well located, right in the centre and if your room looked at the inner court, it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the extra blanket for the night and the washbasin in the room was great. The sea, shops, bus station was in walking distance. It had a roof terrace and a table in the courtyard. In the ‘kitchen’ there was a kettle, fridge and microwave. The staff did the washing up. The bathroom was a bit dated, but functional. It was all clean. I could have a peaceful rest after a long day walking

Bathroom could do with some renovations but functional.

Great location, 5 minutes to the beach and a fantastic walk to the lighthouse. On the main road in the town so access to bars, restaurants and supermarkets was easy. Great rooftop terrace. Room was clean. Very good value for money if you don't want anything fancy. I enjoyed my time there.

My room window overlooked the inner courtyard of the hostel. I couldn't open the curtains to let in fresh air, otherwise I would have been visible to everyone passing by, living in or checking into the hostel. When I booked the room from the photo, this was not clear. The audibility of various sounds is very strong, even with the window closed. I slept with earplugs, so I managed to get enough sleep.

The staff is excellent, a very helpful young man, a cleaning lady and everyone I met along the way.

This is what it is - it’s NOT a hotel, it’s NOT a hostel! It’s an old building with its own charm. Baths are painted as enamel has probably rusted, each room comes with a small sit down shower and sink. And that is adequate for the price you are paying. Patricia will ALWAYS help, so ASK if you have a problem eg. Second set of keys? Of course! There were mosquitoes, so come prepared!

Very central with main shopping street and plenty of restaurants and bars just seconds away! Staff were very helpful (Patricia) when l explained about my concern for noise outside at night and said if l didn’t sleep well, she would refund remaining nights. This wasn’t necessary!

The room was extremely narrow and there was no space to leave anything. The toilet was not in great condition and did't look very clean.

Location is super central, in a street full of restaurants and not far from Lagos' closest beaches. The hostel is affordable and therefore handy if the budget doesn't allow anything fancier.
