The place is a great place to relax and get away from the noise of the city. It's a little difficult to get to without a good GPSn..the people were very kind and friendly.

Air conditioning inside the room was not enough even with fans to cool the room temperature( was about 30°) due to sun facing directly the room windows and creating sauna effect inside for the entire time we were there with a small child.It did not help that the district had high temperature alerts for the weekend.The staff were helpful and concerned to try do find a solution but was not able to during our stay.

Room had some spiderwebs and the shared bathroom was very basic but it had everything we needed.

Very calming place. We loved it! Road to the hotel is bumpy but once you arrive, it's just amazing! Nice pool with beautiful view. Very good breakfast!

Some areas of the garden needed some more maintenance but in general great.

Super nice building and garden with a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful details, very kind staff. The food was made with love and you could taste it! We also had a yoga class with Sofia which was great, she's a good soul Different from normal places, very recommended

Very nice people welcomed us and made our stay very enjoyable. Biovilla is a perfect place for nature lovers who are looking for orchids and birds. A great and healthy breakfast is included, what a great surprise!

Lots of mosquitoes, we barely slept and had over 20 bites each. Lots of dead mosquitoes on the walls and curtains that hadn't been cleaned.

Great location for hiking and trail running. Also close to amenities with a car.

When I found this place online I was beyond excited. Having lived and worked on organic and sustainable farms that offered stays, I know how special these places can be and this one looked fantastic. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. To begin with, we were told we couldn’t have access to any kitchen or utilities to even make a tea or heat up a soup. Being pregnant, a good ways away from the city and Christmas Day anyhow when most places are closed, this definitely put a damper on our evening. There was no attempt to tell us anything about the place, show us around or make us feel welcome. We were simply shown to our room and told breakfast would be at 9 am the next day. Given we had to leave at 8 am this wasn’t very helpful and unfortunately the breakfast hours were not listed when I booked. I understand the culture here might lend itself to a later breakfast but seems a bit late for a farm and was just another disappointment. Finally, the room was freezing. Again, being pregnant this stuff matters even more so when I booked I chose places that says they have heating. If you call an old plug in heater that barely feels warm to the touch let alone one that heats the small room. We tried to laugh it off saying we felt a little like Mary and Jesus on Christmas night but ultimately it was a grand waste of gas, time and money to go out of our way to this place.

What I didn’t like was the amount of mosquitos, but obviously no fault of the accommodation.

I had the most magical stay here. The grounds and property is absolutely amazing, but what made my stay even more exceptional was the staff. They were absolutely incredible, so welcoming, so caring, I cannot find the words to express my full gratitude. They cooked the best meals and said their secret ingredient was ‘love’ and you could taste that in every bite.

Payed for a room with private bathroom and this option wasn’t available. Therefore, we had to share bathroom for the same price. Poor breakfast with feel options. The room didn’t have air conditioning as described in the booking confirmation.

I’ve traveled countless times and Biovilla offered us one of the worst customer services I’ve ever seen. The room I had ‘specifically reserved’ after a long conversation directly with Biovilla staff was given to another guest and the room left for us wasn’t ready (at 6:00pm!). When I asked them what we should do since we couldn’t go to this room, a staff member suggested we sat outside and watched the sunset. They gave us the room keys at 9pm! Absolutely no compensation or proper apology was offered. When we finally got to the room, we saw that the drain in the toilet sink was blocked, so we asked them to fix it. The staff implied that I myself had made it clogged and they didn’t take any action. For 3 days we paid for a hotel where the sink couldn’t be used. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, but it was nothing much. One evening they served rice and the side dish was quinoa… and charged 18 euros for that per person. The staff members attitude is poor and they act as if they were doing you a favor. I asked the Booking.com customer service to help me get some form of compensation or apology and after Booking rep tried contact with Biovilla for 10 days without any response from them, Booking customer service rep gave up and gave me a compensation via Booking.com itself. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Biovilla hotel to anyone. If you want to enjoy Arrábida Park choose another hotel where people are professional and know what they are doing in terms of hospitality.

What I liked was the Arrábida Park, which is not related to the hotel. The park is beautiful by itself and worth visiting. I would choose another hotel in this park though.

Weird and bad welcoming from the staff. The main key person when we arrived didn’t speak English and we were guided to our room by someone (random?) we supposed was part of the staff. One hour later a guy entered our room without knocking and said we had been assigned to a wrong room. Breakfast at 9 is way too late, we had to catch a flight so we asked to have something in advance and we were served coffee, bread and fruit at 8:45.

Very comfortable bed. Interesting location with nature-loving and water-saving concept.

Everyone were so quiet or just maybe in a meditative state, but that's just our observation, not a criticism. I guess that's the whole country problem, but we would love to see more fresh vegetables on our breakfast plate. :)

Stayed only for a one night but should have stayed for longer because it felt that the place is hiding something great about it. Had a very late check in, but were greeted 23:30 with no problem. The whole place looks so spacious and great. Breakfast was not too much, but very delicious, surprisingly good Humus! Bed was too comfy, that we had one of our best sleeps in a while. Almost tried the pool, but we had to go further on our road!
