If I was being picky, there wasn't much privacy between the three joined balconies. That's a small issue in a sea of great things though.

Paulo was incredibly friendly and helpful. He had lots of recommendations and helped organise activities for us. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and well kept. The balcony had a great view and plenty of sun.

It’s a bit hot in the room (in summer), with the window open it’s great but then we hear scooters/cars passing by.

The view was incredible, the accommodation was clean and location is great if you have a scooter or car. There are also buses nearby. There is also everything you need to cook at home, which is nice.

One morning we had a cockroach in the room, but we caught it and alerted the host, who took care of everything and according to him order pest extermination just in case.

Nothing beats the view from our room, it was spectacular! The room was spacious, and had all the basic amenities. Shops and bus stops are just a couple of minutes away. Definetly recommend!

We were not able to figure out how to walk to any restaurants.

Lovely, spacious apartment/room with unbeatable view of Funchal and the ocean. The host was very nice and provided our preferred coffee maker and great maps and ideas for sightseeing and meals. Parking was close by, but sometimes challenging as with most everywhere on this small but busy island.

We liked everything. Beautiful room equipped with everything you need. Amazing view. Our host was very friendly and cheerful. Helped us with taxi and recommendations for restaurants. Belvedere Boutique is at a very good location, close to bus stops and big supermarket. 20min from the centre. The room was 10/10, clean and with good temperature. We found it very useful that there was a mini bar in the hallway so if you need something you just take it from there and pay at the end of the stay. Very sweet and kind cleaning lady. 10/10, would stay there again for sure.

The property is very beautiful and has a garden full of color and the smell of spring.The view from the room takes you breath away, you can see the ocean and the houses perched on the hills. Paolo was extremely kind and provided us with information and access to services.

Wish they had laundry facilities in house. One shared washer in the main area for all units would have been enough. The location although in the city is not walkable to other places due to the steep climbs. A car, bus or taxi is needed. We used the car to travel mostly and a few times walked down and took the bus up.

Space but we paid more for it. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The views in the morning were gorgeous.

Lack of a washing machine.

The room has a breathtaking view that the photos just can't capture. There's easy-to-find parking in front of the entrance. The whole building is incredibly clean, and the owner and the staff are lovely, helpful and accommodating. We'll come back soon!

Upon arrival we met Paulo who is a very nice person, and he gave us all the information we needed. The room has a wonderful view that I enjoyed every day of the vacation and you have a kitchenette with everything you need. It is a location that I highly recommend

Everything was as described, we were happy.

We enjoyed our stay here. The view was pretty great, bed comfy and we had everything we needed. Plus extra things like the possibility to borrow beach towels or umbrellas. There's a small self service bar if you crave something. But there's also a big supermarket quite nearby. It is possible to get to the centre by a bus although travelling back around 6 pm was a bit of an experience. Also the buses are quite hard to navigate - no names on bus stops, definitely wasn't going by the timetable - but it worked. Parking our rented car in front of the property on the street was easy and free.

We had a great 7-night stay at Belvedere Boutique. Our room was cleaned perfectly every two days and we received great recommendations for activities and restaurants. Paulo was very accommodating and sent us information on stuff happening in Funchal. It was a great location to local supermarket, petrol station, bus stops and pasteleria. Short Uber into town too
