There was nothing to complain about

It was the most relaxed, most restful stay of our entire vacation. A great starting point for exploring Serra da Estrela. In the middle of nowhere, you can enjoy the tranquility and fresh air of the Serra da Estrela. The staff is very friendly. The food is amazing. There's plenty of parking.

The shower could have been a bit bigger.

Location at a high mountainous road junction pass, is stunning. (why on earth would anybody put any building up here?). The place was busy. Dinners and breakfasts are good, generous and economical.

Wonderful location in the mountains. Great view from windows. Excellent breakfasts, a variety of regional cheeses, and cold cuts. Good restaurant in the evening with a reasonable price.

The only thing not so positive i have to say is that the breakfast is supposed to be available at 8am and the bread and some other things like cakes are arriving only at 8h30 or 9h. But even after that, the breakfast is super good and the staff try their best to do everything they can with what they have.

The rooms were really nice and comfortable and the breakfast was good too!

💯 recommend! Loved absolutely everything about this gorgeous hotel and restaurant situated on top of a hill. Our room was large, extremely clean, and had the most beautiful view of the hills. The staff were so lovely and kind. The breakfast was huge, delicious, and served individually to your table. The food from the restaurant was cheap and the drinks from the bar even cheaper. This was the best value for money we have ever experienced.

The view was spectacular. Almost on top of a mountain, the view from the restaurant, for example, was superb.

The staff are so kind and helpful. They willingly obliged every request we made. They even gave us some cherries when we left. The room & bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The included breakfast was exceptional with a huge range of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh bread rolls, jams, fresh fruit. The evening meal was also tasty with very generous proportions and very reasonably priced. The hotel is located near some nice hiking too.

Breakfast was 20+ minutes late, almost at 9 AM. Almost nobody speaks English.

Breakfast was huge with loads of cold cuts and local cheeses. Rooms are demodè but functional, with good shower and Wi-Fi. The waitress who lived in Switzerland was very kind with us. Insane view from the window.

They Allowed Midnight check-in plus they served us food in the middle of the night. the location and receptionist are amazing I would love to stay there again.

Room was basic, furniture is nothing to speak of but the overall comfort and efficiency of the property is outstanding.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. For the location, there are not many options and this was perfect for short duration stays especially with the restaurant being on site.

Nothing. Everything was as expected. Considering the price, the hotel has exceeded our expectations.

Brilliant location, spacious room with a balcony, good prices, amazing food (make it sure you try salmon and cod!). Great breakfast. Air conditioner in the room. Simple hotel, such a feeling like you are back to 80's/90's. Loved it! Amazing views to the mountains from the restaurant. Friendly staff, not speaking a single word in English, but that wasn't a problem for us.

Lack of ventilations in bathroom.

Great stay. Felt like house in nowhere. Good restaurant inside. So had good and tasty dinner. Breakfast also great and tasty.

There could have been a table to work on with laptop, but there was a common sitting area outside the room that had sofas or one could sit at tables in the entry area or restaurant, so it wasn’t an issue for us.

Breathtaking views, extremely friendly hosts. Restaurant was excellent. The room was comfortable and a particularly good deal for the price. We liked the small balcony and also the curtains were excellent in making room nice and dark against the morning light

This hostel is located in a very quiet area in Serra da Estrela, where you can enjoy the silence and nature. They also have a bar, so it's not a problem there's no groceries around. The breakfast was amazing and the serra da estrela cheese is super!

Very welcoming feeling. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent with local produce and large portions. The dinner price was a good surprise given the location, same as a standard city lunch menu. Great host too, ofered to store the motorbikes in the hotel foyer.
