The owner Cristina is such an amazing person I feel so honored and blessed to meet her during my Portugal trip. Even though I saw her for only 10 minutes, she made me feel home. The place is super clean and tidy I love her hospitality and support anytime her guests need.

I loved it- nothing I didn't like.

This place exuded positive vibes from the moment I arrived and throughout my 3 day stay the host Christina was so warm and kind. The place is stylish, clean and really well located near the main Avenida and only a short walk from the restaurants, cafes, ferries etc. As a solo traveller I felt safe, enjoyed meeting other guests, and had access to all the facilities I needed. I really hope to come back again in the future. I 100% recommend it! :)

I was not sure about sharing a bathroom, but it is a common practice in most of the locally owned establishments in Olhão. There was no problem with that: two toilets, two showers, a great kitchen, and a dining room. Perfect condition, recently refurbished, but the roof terrace is the best! And the super friendly and understanding owners/managers. Definitely recommend

Christina & her family are exceptional hosts. So friendly, so helpful. Just a great vibe. Lovely people. The accommodation is tasteful and traditional. No plastic coating. High ceilings, thick walls. Cool & lovely. Very comfortable.

Cristina was a wonderful host. All her recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Olhao were perfect. The location is ideal, just an 8 minute walk and you're at the waterfront. Also a free car park opposite was great for us. Had no issues finding a space each time (June). It was lovely to have access to a fully functioning kitchen and to breakfast on either the kitchen terrace or the roof. Thanks!

Not the fault of the hosts but I was woken up when other guests were using the kitchen early (before 7am).

The room was basic but clean. The outdoor areas were both well kept and nice to use. Very good location for the traditional town centre and sea, and practical for the bus and railway stations. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, they couldn't have done more!

the noise from the road outside, had to put some earplugs in but mostly ok to sleep.

The layout was great. Great to have a quiet rooftop breakfast every morning. Kiitchen and fridge facilities make it easy to do this. bathrooms were clean and not very busy despite all rooms being full. still felt quiet and comfortable. Also, as its a social atmosphere, made friends within the accom which was great.

It was like a home from home. Shared bathroom/toilet facilities are not my preference but having said that, the facilities were maintained in pristine condition.

The Al Casa Grande is in an ideal location to the town centre, train station, restaurants and ferry out to the beautiful island's, it has a real homely feel.We had a lovely welcoming from Christina who was always on hand to help and make our stay the best it could be.

It is a fabulous sanctuary in the middle of Olhão with the most helpful and friendly host. The attention to detail and added home comforts are amazing. It is a perfect place for solo travellers with a friendly safe vibe in the casa. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. There is a well stocked and organised kitchen to use as well as lovely seating areas. It was fabulous- thanks Cris!

Cristina is a wonderful host. She greeted me when I arrived and gave me a tour of the property. She tries to make time to do this for most guests. She also recommended the best restaurants and beaches and direction to these. The main market, supermarket, restaurants and ferries are just a 10 minute walk and a large shopping mall is a 15 minute walk. The property was lovely with all amenities, a shared kitchen including washing machine and iron. The room was spacious and all the rooms have their own balcony, there is also a shared balcony next to the kitchen and a roof terrace! So plenty of outside space to enjoy the sunshine. The property was very clean and organised and after my first night the host messaged me to ask if there was anything else I required to make me feel comfortable :) It was a great experience.
