Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe staff were very hands off. They would only point you in the direction of where things were and wouldn’t get anything for u ( condiments or cookery) and when I asked them to help me get some chairs so my family could sit down ( as there was a table free with no chairs) they looked at me like I asked for one of their kidneys. This is what makes this hotel 4 star, zero service.
The kids entertainment throughout the day and the evening until a reasonable time was great to keep my children aged 5,10 and 12 busy. The older ones liked the pool games and the games room. The little one liked the mini water park and the disco/show. The food was good quality but it was very repetitive, though they always had veggie options.

ItalyThe AC in the room is old style, doesn’t cool down as much. The hotel is very family friendly which I can imagine it’s a plus if you come with kids, but I have to say that as a couple we found it a bit much. The entertainment programs are mostly catering to kids and while there are kids pools available they were mostly in the main pool. It would have been nice to have at least one area in the hotel reserved for adults only (there’s a disco like bar like that but it’s in the basement, I’m referring mostly to a terrace or a restaurant) to take a break from it.
Loved our stay at this hotel. The pool area is large and there’s a good vibe with music on. The staff is lovely and always ready to help, they even helped me sort out a little surprise for my partners birthday. Food is great especially given that there are 4 restaurants available. If I had to be picky I’d say it would have been nice to include snacks such as crisps and peanuts in their snack bar. Drinks are available the whole day at different spots, a mix of self-service and served. Cocktails are okay but pre-mixed so very sweet. The hotel is out of Albufeiras center which was a plus for us given that we didn’t want to be in the mess of the strip.

United KingdomThe entire hotel lacked good air conditioning including the lobby areas (went in late May 25). We asked for a technician to come in to check if the air conditioning was working or not , the technician came in after repeated requests and he found out that the aircon was blasting at 29C . The technician spotted the problem immediately and fixed it . He even told that the temperature is controlled centrally, so the room wasn’t at the most comfortable temperature throughout the entire stay. There is a fan in the room which doesn’t go very fast citing safety reasons.
Facilities , Pool , entertainment, kid friendly , decent vegetarian options in the main buffet restaurant. Even got a free upgrade to pool view room. Oriental restaurant was ace which is a reservation only so do get a spot early.

CanadaBeach is a small one- we took uber 10 minutes away to larger beach in the Old Town. Too many kids under 5… could get noisy in hallways when trying to sleep.
Excellent resort style with clean rooms and great service. Buffets had lots of selection and no long lineups.

United Kingdomlovely hotel, no misleading info online, very good variety of food, excellent pool & spa. all the staff were soooo friendly. also if it was windy you couldnt notice it because of how the hotel is built. i think the sun loungers could have done with side tables but apart from that - EXCELLENT!! definitely recommend.

DenmarkWonderful Stay with an Exceptional Culinary Experience We had a fantastic stay at Hotel 3HB Guarana - all inclusive, with lot of activities for childrens and families, and one of the absolute highlights was the food experience. The dishes were not only delicious and beautifully presented, but what really stood out was the personal attention from the chef Diogo Sequeira. We had a special diet, He took the time to guide us through the menu, made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences, and even shared a bit about how the food was prepared and where the ingredients came from. Eventhough we could not eat the desserts because of our diet, the chef Diogo was VERY kind and made something special for us to eat. You could really tell that this is someone who’s passionate about their craft and cares about giving guests something special. It made the whole dining experience feel more personal and memorable – not just a meal, but something we’ll actually remember from our trip. This is a very amazing place to relax and enjoy the holidays with friends or families, and the hotel is something which is worth going again.

IrelandThe rooms could do with updating, but they were very clean and comfortable. The deck chairs were also very close together and you had to be out early to get a spot. This is expected in August but it was very crowded.
The pool area was fabulous, especially the swim up pool. We were there in August so it was very hot and the pool was a welcome break from the heat. The food was very good also, we were all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. The lobby of the hotel is very nice, gives a fabulous feeling when you check in.

Portugal1 - Why you don’t have Aperol Spritz at the hotel? It’s a summer drink appreciate by many people. Think on that. Looking forward to be at the hotel next year with aperol 😀 for my wife. 2 - The Mediterranean restaurant could be different, It’s almost the same we have in the mais restaurant but with some more meat as options. The biggest problem. They grill the meat, slice and keep in the buffet. I was expecting something more premium like a la carte menu or grilled meat send directly to our plate since we need to do a reservation for this restaurant. At the end we start the dinner in the Mediterranean but went after to the normal restaurant where we had better options. Maybe you should rethink this Mediterranean restaurant. 3 - We need to checking (enter at the room, we can be in the hotel if arrive earlier and the baggage is stored in the locker room) at 4pm but the checkout at 11am. For people that will stay 2 night like we did I don’t think this is correct. We paid for 2 days (48 hours) but had access to the room only 43 hours. The check-in and check-out times could be 2 hours different only. I think is enough to clean the rooms. But we could stay in the hotel all day long with the baggage in the locker room (when we did the checkin and also on the checkout) and was possible to take a shower in the main hotel bathroom close to the pools before leave the hotel. Then at least we didn’t lose the day 😀 But this is some improvements to make the stay even better, but it not compromised our general satisfaction.
The hotel and the rooms is very clean, the food is very good (lots of options), the beer is cold 😀 and self service. The cocktails are in general very good and the staff is willing to make mixes for you. The Slushy drink is a key for the summer and we mixed with tequila and vodka, amazing. Since it is a family hotel the kids have stuff to do all day long, the animation staff did an excellent job with the kids and also with the adults. I will definitely return to the hotel next summer to stay for more days.

United StatesBreakfast ended at 10am which was early for us after traveling a long distance to reach the resort. Room service would have been a nice addition. More variety for drinks would have been nice like sparkling water.
My family and I enjoyed the food options. They had kid friendly options for all meals. We liked the self-serve beverage areas.
