Only 2 critiques which aren’t deal breakers…The bathroom was very clean, but it was a little tight in there. There was no counter space when getting ready. And we could control the temperature in the room, but the sheets made me sweat for some reason. My husband was unbothered by this so I’m probably just being picky.

Beautiful decor! Comfortable rooms! Looks exactly as described on the website! The lobby even smells amazing! Great location within easy walking distance to stores & restaurants. We felt very safe & even walked to the Bay! The staff were very friendly & met all of our requests! Quiet hotel & neighborhood too! We got a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel.

Would have liked a plain yogurt option. (They only had the kind with fruit and added sugar.) Also, it would have been nice to have espresso-based coffee at breakfast. Pods were available in the rooms, but the coffee with breakfast was not as strong as I like. I found the bed too soft, but my husband liked it, so that’s a personal judgment.

Great location. An Uber to Old Town was quick and not too expensive, and we were able to walk to many other neighborhoods. It felt more ‘real’ than some of the more touristy neighborhoods. We felt completely safe walking around after dark. There was a decent sized market within a block or so, so we were able to pick up some extra yogurts to have on hand in the room. Front desk staff very personable and helpful. Beautiful space. Appreciated being able to have breakfast outdoors in their beautiful courtyard every morning. Room was bright and quiet, with both privacy shades and blackout shades.

Beer was a bit expensive so i only had one. If it were even just a couple dollars cheaper, i'd probably hang out more in the hotel in the evenings. Bathroom needs a shelf for personal items.

Great location with nice restaurants and a grocery store within a minute walk or less as well as Byrd electric scooters to rent along the sidewalks. Really friendly staff. Rooms are nice and the rooftop pool area is nice too. They also have a cool lounge on the second floor to relax, read a book, and have a drink. Also about a 10 minute uber to the airport.

Located on a busy street so there's some traffic noise at night, but not too bad especially if you're used to a busy urban environment. Otherwise bring ear plugs for sleeping.

Very small bathroom with nowhere to really put anything, would benefit from shelving unit or something similar. The internet was also very slow, and kept disconnecting periodically.

The Don Rafa is a beautiful hotel, very well appointed throughout, absolutely stunning decor. We booked the Miramar Jr Suite, and plenty of room with living area with refrigerator and great large tv and couch, and bed comfy. Aircon good and not noisy at all. Decent continental breakfast in lobby, and gorgeous rooftop pool and cabana area we wish we had made more use out of. Very good restaurant on site, and lots of close by restaurants and bars. Most of all we have to comment on the incredibly personable and friendly staff at the Don Rafa - all kind, funny, helpful and cheerful, always addressing you personally by name which really added the special touch. We felt very welcome and at home there, and would not hesitate to return if ever back in San Juan. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a room on the lobby floor - it is noisy on that floor given it is the breakfast area as well as check in area. I would request a higher floor room if possible. I also didn't like you couldn't order a cappuccino at breakfast - only filter coffee available.

The decor of the hotel is great, nice staff and you have good restaurants and coffee all within walking distance (Pure, Gusto's, Puebla, Ceviche House, Jamon Jamon, Rare, La Casita Miramar and La Unidad Bar) as well as a large supermarket.

More technology in the room and some upgrades to the bathroom as we stayed in the penthouse and the bathroom could of been slightly more sizable and had could do well to include a soaking tub or larger more modern shower.

Amazingly clean and the service was absolutely exceptional! The location was sandwiched between Condado beach and the T-Mobile Arena so lots of options for dining and recreation within walking distance.

The upstairs Restaurant is by reservation only. Although they are fully staffed the kitchen was always 40-50 minutes behind in getting orders out.

The breakfast time vary daily. However, there we several Restaurant in the area for affordble breakfast. I recommended PINKY's they are literally 5 min car/uber ride away. Everything is literally less than 7 mins for everywhere. The night life (District T-Mobile for chill and family but Condadito for clubs, live music and bars.

We booked a room (apartment style suite) the description said 2 bathrooms, we assumed it would be two full bathrooms but one was a powder room. We made it work though and the suite itself was comfortable and beautiful.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating throughout our entire stay. They were attentive and flexible when some our flights experienced major delays as well. The hotel itself was stunning, beautifully designed and curated to set a vibe for you as soon as you arrived. Multiple amenities available to enjoy yourself without leaving the property. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to San Juan.

Love the place, the bar down stairs and the roof top bar as well. Loved the art that can be found around the property and the piano player in the evenings was a nice touch to add to the vibes of the hotel.
