Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The keys weren’t labeled and there’s 3 doors you got to get thru.
The pictures match the room! It was so clean and cozy. And it was near a lot of restaurants!

There were a few things advertised that we didn’t end up having access to, a bath for example. We also didn’t realize how small the studio was. In the end, it was fine but clearer messaging of the space and accommodations might be helpful!
The property was beautiful and cozy.

Our room didn’t have a bath tub like it said on the description, which wasn’t a big deal but something I realized when we arrived.
We loved our stay at Dada Jaja, the room was so chic and comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor shower which had a real rainforest vibe! It’s in a great location, close to a lot of food and beaches and I really appreciated the guides that the team provided ahead of our arrival.

There were a few dead bugs in the room floor and kitchen floor

We had few issues (wi-fi died for about a day, hot water ran out for a whole morning) but the hosts were super responsive.
Great design, great location, very responsive hosts, super clean and well-kept! They also provide an app to help explore the neighborhood, provide information about restaurants, cafes, shops, and experiences around.

The property is exactly how it looks. Nice quiet area. The locals on the street are nice. Had no issues with my car
I liked that it was in a safe area that was walking distance from everything. It had free parking where I could park my car safely

Everything was great.
Great stay! Dada Jaja is a modern design oasis near the beach by busy Calle Loiza. It is short walk from necessities, restaurants and the beach. Guests should be aware that it is a residential, developing area in the city of San Juan and treat those around you with respect. The DW team was efficient and kind. We had brunch at the main propery during our stay and enjoyed it immensely. Would definitely recommend it to loved ones visiting SJ!

The door lol, stayed in JA2 and the sliding door is horrible to open, got stuck inside, the staff was super helpful though they came in middle of night to let me in and they let me out in am :)

Payment was very confusing. They wouldn't accept payment through Booking.com and had me use a shady 3rd party payment app where I had to send pictures of my ID and credit card. It did not make me feel safe. Also the photos showed a hammock in the common space which was not there.
Easy check in. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed, clean and convenient kitchen.

- Sink knobs extremely hard to turn and became frustrating - Only shower in the unit we were staying in was outdoor, could have made this more clear in listing - saw a cockroach, 2 lizards, and a worm in our unit which we were very upset about - 3 keys to get to your room which is good for security but none of them are labeled and they look identical. This good be solved by simply labeling them 1,2,3. - No mirror in bathroom aside from a tiny face one - wifi and tv worked maybe 50% of the time. When we complained they were quick to respond and provided us a hotspot to use which we appreciated.
Visibly clean and nice to have three doors to get to your unit, felt safe. Good location. Liked that there was a kitchenette area.

Main problem is that the apartments are all very different and on Booking they show the mood board with all the different apartments and it just isn’t clear what it is you’re getting. Ours didn’t have a hammock or an open space/terrace of the kind shown on Booking. That was one of my main reasons for choosing this property. Would be very easy to change that.
Nice design and functional kitchen. Good sofa/tv set up. Staff were quick to respond by text and let us store our cases at the hotel after check-out.

It has a rain shower, so take that into consideration if you don’t want your hair to get wet.

The place smelled of roach spray, the counters were sticky, and the unit was only superficially cleaned. Professional Extermination needed that would not leave lingering overpowering odor.
The decor and design were excellent. Photod are an excellent representation of facility. Near night life and restaurants.
