How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Limited English at check-in but no problem. Maybe towels needed changing after 2 nights

First room I was allocated was above the restaurant kitchen where I could hear the banging of the chopping of food it was very loud so I had to relocate to a different room on the other side of the building

- The biggest minus for us was that there were no curtains in the bedroom and unfortunately sun rises very early in summer and we are sensible for light so we didn't sleep very well because of that. We saw that more guests tried to make an alternative construction with towels. The accomodation should really do something with that in my opinion. Also the beds and blankets are a bit on the short side. - Wifi was very weak, not a very big issue because we had a good 5G signal, but it would be more nice with better wifi. - Although the prices in the restaurant were very attractive the dinner looked and tasted quite cheap and was more on the fastfood side. Not a huge issue, but i would have preferred to pay a bit more and get food of better quality. We enjoyed our stay, but it would be perfect without these issues, specially the first one.

For us the location was excellent. + The room was incredibly clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. + We liked the garden with the trampoline for the kids, and the parking was also good. + Very good breakfast, everything was fresh, good quality and there was more than enough. + The room was very spacious.

Was quoted £49 for the room on Booking.com. Myself and wife also decided to have breakfast at £7 each. This should have totalled £63, but was charged £71. When I queried this with staff, they just said it was the 'exchange rate', as I used a UK card. It seems the prices on Booking.com are only an estimate, and not the actual price you pay.

The only small negative was that the bed cover seemed a little narrow for two people.
We really enjoyed our stay - there were several attractive hikes from the door, all the staff were very kind and friendly, and the food at dinner was excellent - tasty and filling, well-cooked, with plenty of choice. Huge breakfast too! It was great that the restaurant was also open on Monday in March, as everywhere else around was closed! After a wet walk we really enjoyed relaxing with lunch and a beer.

No curtain in the room (minor problem).
Beautiful place, good restaurant, modern room, clean, quiet. Very helpful staff (English ok with some of them). Good breakfast. Excellent value for money 👍

Not a criticism but I would appreciate an electric kettle to make early morning coffee.
The hotel itself is an affordable alternative for accommodations in Gdansk and Gdynia. Nicely located at the shore of ‘Karczemne’ lake. Quiet neighborhood. No issues with parking a car. Lots of places available. Breakfast was good and tasty. Cooked. Cold cuts available and in ample supply. Everything was clean. Food presentation excellent.

I had an unfortunate experience with credit cards at the restaurant at this place. When paying the the bill the credit card machine rejected my payment and annulled the transactions. When I checked later the payments were indeed made. Fortunately I kept all receipts. When I got back home my bank refunded me the amount paid to the restaurant. The reception at the hotel were of no help. I had hoped to see the Kashubian museum, to learn more of their history. On Sundays it closes at 2 p.m.
The hotel is pleasant enough and nicely situated by a lake.
