    Everything was great.

The food was wonderful, an amazing spread! Lovely to eat in the cavernous dining room at a big table with all kinds of adorable decorations around. The outdoor cats were very friendly and the chefs beautifully accommodated my friend's vegetarian diet. We were so happy with our stay--it was really special.

    Perfect for me.

The breakfast was way beyond my expectations: fresh, yummy and served in style. So was the evening meal. Mrs Krystyna and her team provide service just at the right level. They are always available, helpful, cheerful and full of stories. The sauna in Room 3 worked well, was clean, and was a nice surprise. I do not know how Mrs Krystyna offers this level of hospitality at the price. Oaks, plane trees and beech trees are out of this world. And the chirping of birds....Go and visit.

It's a pity that we couldn't visit all the castle, walk through its coridors and rooms (it should be scheduled in advance), but we will come back.

We spent night in a real castle! It was amazing! We could feel as royals there. Beautiful and calm place. People there are very kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, food cooked there for us was very very good. I advise this place to you with all my herat!

It’s confusing what you are getting from the booking. We booked for 3 people and there was no option for a triple room so had to reserve 2 rooms at double the cost. However when we got there, the room was more like an apartment without the kitchen or living area, so we ended up with two triple rooms which was unnecessary for us. The rooms themselves are very dated and don’t match the rest of the house but I think this is obvious from the photos of the property. They’re in the back of the property away from the main house so I’m not sure if they’re the workers housing. I never saw any of the additional amenities that were mentioned on the blurb but perhaps that was because we were there in the off season. There was no one around when we arrived, I think the host had forgotten about our booking but this was rectified when we called the host. Be aware that everything here is chargeable, even being shown the downstairs of the palace quickly was charged. With all the additional charges, this stay ended up far more expensive than any of the other period properties we stayed in which had better amenities. There was zero WiFi in our room and no signal however this wasn’t a problem for us.

The palace itself was very beautiful, there’s clearly been a lot of love put into the main property. The food provided was very generous and they had a cute dog. It’s nice to be able to walk straight from the hotel for walks around the water. Parking was easy and the rooms were warm. It was very quiet.
