How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewLocation was good for me. Good value. Free parking which is rare in Poland. Breakfast ok. Staff at breakfast amazing! Room ok.
I suppose not having anyone at reception takes a bit of getting used to. A small bottle of water would be a nice touch. And definately extend breakfast to 09:30. Some of your visitors might like to sleep in til 09:00.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that it is so low and hurtful as it is completely untrue! The heating, despite spring, is still in winter mode. It is controlled by a thermostat and set at 23 degrees! You slept in room 7 for three nights, so why did you not report this to the staff???? The room has as many as two heaters (most rooms have one each and it is sufficient). We checked the room technically and everything is in working order. About a month ago we finished replacing the towels throughout the property with new, thick, typical hotel towels. In this regard also, we do not know what you expect by writing untruths. We are very sorry, we send our regards anyway!

Completely closed shower. Is not my first time in this hotel and not every room has partially opened shower but this time We had. Is not great idea. Also room was close to breakfast room where every day from 6am we have heard beats of a music coming from there. And last one , breakfast time should be extanded till 10am like in every other hotel. 7-9 am is too short and for people who go to sleep early.

The service at the reception was rude and unpleasant

Regarding the service, we do not recall being in any way impolite. You raised concerns about staff entering your room during your absence, and we politely explained that daily room cleaning is standard practice in our hotel, as it is in many other hospitality establishments. If a guest prefers that housekeeping does not enter their room, we provide special door hangers to indicate this, which are the same as those used in most hotels. We are truly sorry that the reception service did not meet your expectations.

Verified reviewThe staff was good. The girl in the breakfast room was very nice and attentive to me and the other guests. The man at the desk in the morning was also kind and helpful.
The room was bad. For several reasons. Despite there being two spiders in the room, there were still flies and mosquitos in there (possibly because the window was left open prior to my arrival. The bed had an ill fitting sheet that didn't cover the mattresses. (And didn't feel like a proper sheet anyhow. It was more like a mattress pad.) The curtains cannot be used to keep out the light. There are only 3 blackout curtains which need to cover 4 windows so it is not possible to avoid the sun. The carpet was very thin with not padding beneath. Some spots felt damp. The most hilarious moment, however, was when I turned on the shower and it blasted water over the glass an onto the floor. This place was a real disappointment.
We are very hurt by such low ratings, but we try to learn from them. We are glad that at least the staff made a good impression on you. I would like to comment on the mentioned disadvantages: 1. there was 30 degree heat during your stay. Therefore, we left the windows open, through which, unfortunately, sometimes a spider (probably tiny) will enter and a fly or mosquito will fly in. I guess this is better than entering a room heated to 40-50 degrees? 2 We use terry sheets with elastic bands around them. I ensure it was a sheet and not part of the mattress. 3.Actually, after checking, we found that the blackout curtains do not cover the windows 100%. Thank you for your attention, we will correct this immediately. 4.There are carpeted floors in all rooms. These are hotel carpets, with fire safety approvals. This is the European standard. I have often encountered thicker ones in your country, but not in hotel facilities. 5. we did not find any dampness in the room. 6. in fact the shower handset was replaced after a malfunction with an incompatible shower and was pouring water too high. We have made the change to the correct one. thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Each room should contain a fan as rooms get hot in the summer. Shower in room 2 needs adjustment to a shower head and drain.

Very small bathroom. Breakfast the same every day and average - poor amount and choice of vegetables - especially in summer, no fruit.
Mrs. Sylwia, the breakfasts are the same every day, but there are a dozen or so dishes, so if you stay even for a week, you can eat something different every day. Everything was perfect except that the place was a bit hard to find and I was disappointed with the location which was much further from the town center than I expected and just by a very busy road. It was a bit gloomy when I first arrived because there was nobody at the reception. However, in the morning the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. On the othr hand the location enabled me to discover and explore a part of town I would not have seen otherwise.
Our location is given very accurately for example on google maps. The description on booking.com also gives the exact distance from the center. We are surprised by your surprise on this subject. We are glad that other aspects suited you. Greetings!
