You are slap bang in the centre of the historic old town. As such there is a bit of noise from trams and visitors. Nothing a pair of earplugs can’t deal with.

Ours stay at the Focus Hotel Premium Pod Orłem was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the excellent service was apparent, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. Kamal the receptionist was polite, professional and supremely knowledgeable about everything in Bydgoszcz and the surrounding area. He helped us to get to the historic and cultural places around the city by tram. His recommendations for food and treats is second to none. What truly sets this hotel apart is its captivating history and style. Housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century building, every corner exudes a sense of grace and old-world charm. Our balcony was overlooked by a golden eagle! The elegant historic decor, combined with modern comforts, creates a unique ambiance that is both luxurious and welcoming. It's a place where you can feel the echoes of the past while enjoying all the conveniences of the present. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a stay that combines historical elegance with top-notch hospitality. We were provided with slippers and ample fresh fluffy towels and toothbrush and coffee and tea and a kettle in the room and the vanity set, shoe cleaner, clothes brush. All the cold still & sparkling water that you need and a small lockable fridge. There is also a sauna and hot tub for your use. It was such a privilege to say such a beautifully elegant, stylish and historic establishment. There are more modern hotels in the city with my however if history, architectural design & culture is your thing you’ve come to the right place.

The curtains are not black out. The carpet is a little tired but definitely clean.

Great location, easy direct walk from train station and a 5 minute walk to the old town across the river. What a beautiful historical building. The young lady at the desk was very helpful, professional and attentive. Room was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was lovely, exceptionally clean.

The pipes in the bathroom were very noisy when having a shower/running a bath but I understand this is a quirk of an old building.

The location is perfect for exploring Bydgoszcz. Several trams stop within a 2-minute walk of the hotel. It is also very close to the river and the beautiful old town. All the staff were very professional and helpful and the breakfast is excellent!

The hotel is at the middle of old town. Building is so historical. The staff is so gentle and helpful.

I found that the en-suite bathroom was quite warm compared to the rest of the room. The shower head was quite low, and being tall, I had to crouch in order to take a shower.

The room was comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The included breakfast was filling. There was a restaurant for dinner. The hotel wasn’t very far from the centre of Bydgoszcz. The staff were friendly. A toothpaste and toothbrush and a small shaving kit were available in the bathroom. I had a room with a balcony. There was a small gym which I used. There was a sauna available, free for all guests, which I didn’t use. The accommodation was very good value for what was provided during my stay.

No non slip mats in the bath. This resulted in a bad fall while trying to step in for a shower. I didn't sustain any bad injuries, and although very sore from the episode, declined to report it at the time. If you are staying at this hotel, a room to the back may be advisable as it's almost impossible to sleep properly with the noise from the trams.

We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel and found the location very good for proximity to the centre of the city. Breakfast was good and plentiful.
