Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaFree parking was available if you found a spot - there weren't enough spaces in the yard and you had to find a free spot on the street. I expected separate toiletries from a hotel in this price range - shampoo and conditioner. Liquid soap/shower gel is not suitable for hair.
Very rich and tasty breakfast. The location was good, because it was only 300 meters to the last stop of the Gdansk public transport. The beach was also close. The rooms were comfortable and of sufficient size.

United KingdomWe have nothing to complain about.
We have come to unite remote working with the visit of potential clients. We were met with a comfortable room, great breakfast and an easy access even during the closed times through an electronic key card. The location was very close to the clients HQ and we did not have to drive. As a bonus we could take a walk on the seaside promenade. We will definitely come here for a holiday next year.

Friendly hosts. Good location – a quiet street not far from the beach, Sopot, and the final tram stop to Gdańsk. Very tasty and varied meals with a convenient half-board schedule. Spacious apartments and free parking.

EstoniaNothing to complain about. It was my choice to accept their offer even if I had to exert some walk to my actual destination every day.
Large rooms, very comfortable bed, well kept facilities, particularly cosy, spacious and bright entrance and breakfast area, absolutely fantastic breakfast (comparable to 5* level). Located at an easy reach by tram from Gdansk and served by several bus lines. I got my room by reduced price that was very affordable.

BelarusPerhaps my idea of the first coastline is a little wrong, but I lied that this implies that the hotel is literally on the coast. You still need to walk about 7 minutes to the sea. It’s very close, and not tiring, but I still expected a different location.
Everything was perfect - quick check-in, polite staff, and cozy, clean, and beautiful rooms. They allowed us to leave our car in their parking lot for a few hours after check-out, allowing us to walk a little more by the sea.

United StatesNo elevator, so being 60 years old and bad knees, it wasn't easy getting to the top floor with heavy suitcase, especially since the steps from first floor to second floor are steep. After a few days, I asked for another room on the lower floor, and they put me on 1st floor. So if you're older, ask for the ground floor.
Breakfast was great. The location was near the city center. The staff was very helpful, even with getting my clothes washed.

GermanyThe shower could have been better. It was not really enclosed and we couldn't find a stopper for the bathtub.
Have rarely experienced such friendly personnel. She even offered to carry my suitcase upstairs. The parking was directly in front of the hotel, but not locked, but it was okay. Very close to the beach and a lovely walkway in the forest. The room was spacious and very clean. ≈ They were kind to my dog. The breakfast was generous and good.

FranceIt closed early, but the room card opened the front door. It would've been nice to be able have a drink when returning in the evening.
It's a wonderful hotel. Beautifully decorated throughout, clean and welcoming. My plane arrived very early in the morning, but the staff had made up my room for me in advance. My room had a sunny balcony which was perfect for drinking the very palatable vodka and tonics. The restaurant had a varied menu, and was 'help yourself.' Two minutes from the beach and a short walking distance to the Ergo Arena. Loved everything about it.

PolandThe carpet in the floor of the room, it is something that many hotels have. One thing to consider is that the room didn't have A/C so it might be hot during summer

NetherlandsThe twin beds were uncomfortable, which we got used to by the end, but the first few nights were tough. There was rarely anyone at the reception, I tried calling it twice via the phone and didn't get any answer, so had to go down and ring the bell to have someone come out and help me.
Lovely little hotel with amazing paintings all around, walking down hallways and staircases was like being in a gallery! Big, spacious room. We also had a couch in the room which was super comfy to relax on! The location was great, 4 minutes walk to the beach, 6 minutes walk to the tram stop, from which you can travel directly to Gdańsk's old town, and a bus stop just across the road, where you can take a bus to travel to Sopot's central station, but you don't have to because walking there would only take 20-30 minutes. Also the Wi-Fi speed was remarkable as for hotel standards. Generally, really enjoyed staying in this hotel :)
