How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was clean, but the carpeting was quite old and stained. Worth replacing.
The room was clean and of a normal size. The bed was comfy. The Internet was fast. The breakfast was nothing special, but good enough - a standard European menu. Great location right in the centre. It also has a parking though we didn't use it. The staff is helpful.

The breakfast was disappointing but it didn't spoil my day. Staff could try to smile more. I realis that this is cultural, but if youn want overseas visitors staying, you need to make them welcome. The room itself was fine. I didn't need luxury, there was plenty space for me.
Location was good, near tram and bus stops. Also almost next door to Galleria Lodzki.

The condition of the room is a bit worn: the floor cover requires some renovation. Toilet flush is too powerful causing spills all over the bathroom with a closed toilet lid.
Great staff, good location, comfy bed and decent size of the room.

The rooms were not particularly nice and I thought it was overpriced for that average quality. The breakfast was not worth the money at all - poor selection of food, stale breads, eggs floating in water. The room was a bit cramped, not nicely decorated and there wasn't a good selection of TV stations. For similar hotels, I would expect to pay 40% less.

Some of the meals served at dinner in half board did not match the excellent quality of the breakfast. The restaurant sometimes closed earlier than mentonned in the time schedule.
Easy acces to transport and the city's landmarks, comfortable room, friendly staff, generous breakfast buffet. And a working shoe shine machine at the reception, excellent.

Bar never seems to be open which is a great shame. Just would like a chance for one drink but not always possible. We ended up going to the Ibis hotel for a drink as staff wouldn't open the bar. It would be good to clarify if they have an operational bar or not

It was written that crib for baby is possible and free of charge, but they didnt have any left. So we didnt have a place for baby to sleep.

Unfortunately for the hotel, there is an 8-lane round directly outside and the noise of the trams cuts through at night and early in the morning. Also, there was a bright light directly outside the room I was in, that illuminated the hotel sign. The light still got in at the sides and bottom of the blackout blinds. Use earplugs and an eyeshade and you will still get a comfortable sleep here. I tried the restaurant one evening and at least half of the menu was unavailable. I ended up with a burger, which was still very good.
I stayed for a week. The location was good. Right next door to the shopping mall and near walking distance to the film museum and Piotrkowska, as well as transport links. The room was immaculately clean every day of my visit and the cleaning staff were very cheerful too. The bed was big and comfortable and there was a tub in the bathroom, which was an excellent surprise. I only had breakfast just before I checked out but the selection was good. I felt very much at home in the hotel and Lodz is a really enjoyable city.
