How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. My only feedback would be potentially having shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom but this may not be common in Europe as I’m from North America. One thing to note is having to use the key card to turn on the lights, I wasn’t made aware of this so I was a bit confused at first but I think it’s a great idea to keep the key card in one location and save on energy so people don’t leave lights on.
Room was cozy and nice, others have complained of the noise but honestly I barely heard anything even on a Saturday night. Marek the owner was very responsive and kind to me. The location is absolutely incredible and made my stay so convenient. I had a bus to catch at 4pm and was allowed a late check out which was amazing and they also held my luggage for me. I was very pleased a hair dryer was provided. Everything was clean and comfortable.

The noise from the street/square was very loud and went on till early hours. Room 402 facing the street, was quiet, velux window must have been double or triple glazed. Room 403 facing the street was very noisy and had 2 velux windows. We asked to upgrade on checking in to all quiet rooms but was told it was not possible to switch, even though hotel seemed under occupied.
Perfect location for Kraków’s main square and taxi pick ups. Very helpful hosts, able to store luggage, food lovely, clean and comfortable. One room was garden facing and super quiet.

All was good.
The location was very central and close to bus stops, the city centre, supermarket, etc... The room was very nice and a good size and with AC. Although central it was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very good as well.

Nothing not to like.
Perfect in every way! A wonderful place to stay for our city break in Krakow. Terrific staff, friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to help us, even helping us to book ubers. The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. Delicious breakfast. Excellent position a few metres from the Main Square. Will definitely be retuning!

Bedroom was a little too dark, with no view, and was only partially cleaned once, we were there for 6 days. Maybe our fault ? didn’t put sign out to say so, but didn’t realise we had to?

Excellent location in the historic centre one minute from main square and 15 min easy walk to train. Lovely property. Room spacious. Felt luxurious and well appointed. Modern but older decor feeling. Comfy bed and linens. Very quiet. Looking over inner courtyard. Good nights sleep

Perfect location, right in the midst of the old town centre. Walking distance to the castle. Room was large & very clean. Has a great little garden bar run by some fantastic staff. Great value for money.

Very comfortable , good size rooms with a great location. Easy access to public transport & University area cafes & restaurants away from tourist crowds towards the square. As first guests when Residence9 opened in July 2016, we loved this stay 9 years later especially seeing the continued development & the standards maintained.

The street is really bustling, but the hotel’s patio is quiet and full of charm—a perfect escape.

No ironing board , no iron.
Very nice staff . We were allowed in the room a lot earlier than 3 pm. They also kept our bags after check out next day . Super clean sheets and towels , room very quiet. Great location.

I really loved this fabulous hotel, so very close to the Old Town Square, my second stay here. Great breakfast, gorgeous courtyard if you just want to relax away from the crowds. Lift to all the floors, thank goodness, my bag was very heavy. Good beds Staff is friendly and helpful. Fabulous location, simply delightful.

Room make up was minimal. Cups not refreshed. Quilt pulled up but bed not fully made up. Throw left on the floor. Lift from bottom floor only available when downstairs bar was open
Location was very close to square and perfect for walking everywhere. As warned could hear the noise from the Square especially on Saturday night but ear plugs were provided and the location was worth it. Room was quirky with the slanted ceiling and sky light windows but very comfortable. Downstairs garden and bar was just lovely but hours seemed irregular. Staff were very friendly. Room was ready early and could store our luggage.

Not a disaster but the expected and indicated walk-in shower proved to be a very un-preferred step-in bath/shower - manageable for four days
Room was a significant size and very quiet despite the property’s very central ‘old town’ location. Breakfast was generous with a good daily choice and the rear courtyard bar and garden provided a very welcome Haven of calm. Staff always very helpful and friendly
