Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RussiaThe air conditioning was very noisy: indeed I did not use it because too loud and actually no need, but I could hear it from the room next to me and I don’t know how that guy could sleep with that noise. The price could have been cheaper. I struggled with cash because of the environmental tax which caused me to renounce to an “underwater walk” (popular activity in Boracay). The corals were indeed at swimming distance from the shore so I just swam to there for free, but I was very upset and put in trouble by the eco-taxes. HINT 1: to move between the jetty and the hostel in Boracay ask for a “regular” car which is much cheaper than the individual tricycles (called “special”) and go on foot to the airport because it is at walking distance. HINT 2: go to side and poorly lit streets to find hawkers which sell food to locals at the fair price which is a small fraction of what you pay in the touristic places. HINT 3: visit the Ati village which conquered my hearth and I stand with them.
The room is basic yet nice. There are 3 toilets, but only 2 have a shower out of which only 1 has hot water. There is a cold/hot water dispenser in the common area. They provide beach towels. The staff was responsive to my messages before my arrival in order to organize my stay.

United KingdomThere were guests smoking in the facility despite the warnings plastered on the wall. When I escalated it to the staff, they agreed but didn't do anything about it. The whole corridor and toilets stank of cigarette. Just to point out something really important... rules are there to be adhered to and should be followed through for non-compliance.
The staff were very friendly. The AC was quite cool, perfect for the weather.

United KingdomThe back alleys you need to walk through looked a bit dodgy but in the end it was just locals working around there and it was ok. The shared toilets were the worst part, they were always dirty because the shower and the toilet are pretty much in the same space. So when you want to use the toilet, it's all wet, and you don't know for sure if it's water or pee. The floors also get muddy. Not very well maintained.
The place was very close to the beach, so we could go with nothing to swim and then come back. There is a table in the garden and free water. The room was decent size and the bed was pretty good. Nice space to hang wet clothes.

United KingdomThe double room had the smallest double bed I’ve ever seen, it was a squeeze for two petite people at 5’1 and 6’1. Way too small to be calling it a double bed. Something to note is the showers are cold, however we liked this as it’s so hot in Boracay is was really refreshing!
Good location, bathrooms were kept clean always, AC was good, wifi worked well. Provided free drinking water. Is exactly what it says on the tin!
